Great research and lots of thought and study it seems was placed into this. I have always struggled with the mystical and non-biblical "age of accountability" stance. Its arbitrary and to my understanding not found in scripture at all. The best basis I have identified is that David knew he would see his infant son again. 2Sam 12:23
However I find this (age of accountability) to be a stretch at best as it is based mostly on the pre-trib rapture view where it has been expected that the Lord would take all children from the earth inclusive of those in the womb. While I understand that things in the world will be absolutely crazy, I cannot imagine things at that degree especially before the 70th week commences!
Later in the trib this problem tends to resolve itself as there will be many children who will starve, be taken in battles, kidnapped and other atrocities (just like they are today). Something I try to continue to remind myself is that "they will be eating & drinking, marrying and given in marriage..." I believe this is intended to mean that although things will be somewhat different, most adults will not pay any mind to it-trying to get their lives to continue as they were before.
