The D10 makes sound strategic sense. The G7 as a forum for the leaders of the world’s largest powers to discuss strategic economic matters has long been superseded by the G20 (in 2008 after the global financial crisis). And the G7, despite ejecting Russia in 2014 for invading Ukraine, has lost much of its geopolitical rationale, not least because world power is no longer so concentrated in the Euro-Atlantic region. The Indo-Pacific is now the cockpit of the global economy and the stage for international geopolitical competition.

This is quite interesting to me. I had never heard about the D10 until a few days ago, yet it has existed since the 2000s. Apparently they had their first official summit last year when the G7 did not meet. The D10's Wikipedia page shows a striking membership list. Just as the G7 has more than 7 members, the D10 has more than 10. There are 11 full members and 3 observer members. Here is a list of full members: Member | Note | Australia |
| Canada |
| France | EU member state | Germany | EU member state | India |
| Italy | EU member state | Japan |
| South Korea |
| United Kingdom |
| United States |
| European Union | not sovereign state |
Does anybody else see a possible correspondence between this group and the 10 kings spoken of in Revelation? The D10 has 10 members who are sovereign states, and an 11th member which is different from, and less powerful than, the others. Three of the D10 members are part of the EU. They currently have significant autonomy, but there have been efforts to strengthen the EU including federalizing member states for decades. What would happen if the EU did federalize? Well, then it wouldn't make sense for France, Germany, and Italy to be distinct members on their own. The EU would supplant them. I realize there are many theories of who or what various symbols we are given in Daniel and Revelation represent. Personally, I like to hold a variety of perspectives in mind as more information becomes available. What I see here is a situation where several details potentially match up.

The pope marked the end of the year celebrating the fifth anniversary of his environmental encyclical Laudato si’ with the message announcing the initiative. The pope marked the end of the year celebrating the fifth anniversary of his environmental encyclical Laudato si’ with the message announcing the initiative. He said that the year would be followed immediately by a seven-year plan known as the Laudato si’ Action Platform. The theme this year is “A home for all? Renewing the Oikos of God,” Pope Francis said during his general audience at the Vatican Sept. 1.
He told those gathered that he, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, an early leader in the Christian ecology movement, and Anglican Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury “have prepared a message that will be issued in the coming days.”
“Together with our brothers and sisters of different Christian denominations, let us pray and work for our common home in these times of grave crisis for the planet,” he said at the general audience.
The pope also confirmed that “in principle” he was scheduled to attend the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, in November, during an interview aired Sept. 1 with COPE, the radio network owned by the Spanish bishops’ conference.

Build back better, think I have heard that said before, by the UN and Biden, not one word of salvation by Jesus
