Parallel Society and Restrainer Still Restraining

I'll have to admit, things have looked awfully dire lately. It increasingly feels like the world is on the precipice of a totalitarian police state, and, well, it is. Post-March 2020 is like a converging of all the dystopian stories into one. This is as to be expected given what we know about Bible prophecy.
But then you see articles like this one: news.gab.com/2021/09/12/what-does-a-parallel-society-look-like/ or this news: www.washingtonpost.com/world/2021/09/12/england-vaccine-passports/
It doesn't completely turn the tide, but what it does show is that the enemy doesn't quite have his kingdom yet. It's still forming, but never fully formed. The missing piece is the rapture of the Church. We are the salt of the earth and light of the earth and as long as the global Church remains, his earthly dominion will only ever be partial.
It's interesting that the Holy Spirit manifests His restraining power in a variety of ways. We have only to be still and trust Him just as the Israelites by the Red Sea. It looked dire as the army was closing in, but then God made a wall of fire.
But we're getting closer. Very close. That much is clear to me. Clearly our time here is all but up, but the enemy still can't get us—at least not all of us.
