Please pray for our soldiers that are in Kabul, Afghanistan. Pray for their safe return. Pray for my son that is there.

Heavenly Father - many of our troops and civilians have found themselves placed in harms way in Afghanistan. None of this has taken You by surprise but has certainly taken most of us by surprise. Lord for those who are there we do ask for Your protective hand to guide them safely back home. Keep them from the enemy! As they go through these moments we ask for those who are blind to Your truth, please use this as a time to unblind them opening eyes and ears. Bring peace and comfort to the families like sog as they trust in You for their loved ones safety. Most of all Lord, be glorified in everything we do and all that happens. Nothing escapes Your ultimate purpose and plan for this world. You are sovereign Lord and it is in You that we place our hope, confidence and trust. |

Abba, It is times like these that we must put our eyes, thoughts, and heart and emotions to YOU alone. When we lift our eyes, and ask where is our help in these tragic circumstances, we know it is YOU, our help, our Comforter and our keeper (Ps 121).
Oh, how it hurts, Abba, in our hearts and spirit to hear and see of such despicable death and mayhem. How YOUR heart breaks, unceasingly, for every life lost! Abba, I ask YOU to bring YOUR palpable Presence in the midst of darkness, of heartache, of utter despair and hopelessness. Change the atmosphere around those we love and cherish; and around those who need the life-giving touch of the Savior right now. By YOUR Presence, by YOUR Word, by YOUR servants placed in the precise place for YOUR precise Purpose, that it may bring YOU glory!! I ask this in Yeshua's incomparable Name, Amen.

Dear God - we lift up the families of those dozen or more people who were senselessly murdered at the hands of the enemy. May the diabolic plan that he dug for others be a snare he falls into himself. Let not this be in vain but to You oh Lord who deserves glory and honor! May this time of grieving be a time of reflection for the families, that they would turn to You in their time of loss. And the peace that only You can provide would guard hearts and minds during this time.
