Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ! I don't recall if someone has already posted this Daily Crow article, so please forgive me if it has already been noted. The information in it is astounding to me, and I thought I'd share it with you all.

(Source: MP, "O Jerusalem, and Matters of Solomon," Daily Crow, 01 June 2017)
In the article, it is mentioned that the Hebrew year 5777 is considered by rabbis to be the "Year of the Sword," and there was a connection pointed out that President Trump took part in the sword dance while recently visiting Saudi Arabia.
I'd like to open this thread to any "sword" related occurrences in the year 5777, which began 02 October 2016 and will end 20 September 2017. Also, I am wondering if you can tell me what the year of 5776 was named by the rabbis, and what 5778 will be named. Are there any possible aspects of significance to them?

A few quick thoughts regarding the sword.
The sword is the symbol for the tribe of Simeon. Simeon and Levi led the dastardly deception where they hoodwinked their neighbors into being circumcised, then fell on them with the sword while yet sore. Their punishment: Their tribes were skipped over for the birthright. Levi was delegated to be perpetual servants with no territory to their name, and were also required to circumcise all the Israelite babies as a result of leading the onerous circumcision deception at Shechem. Simeon, whose symbol is the sword, would become a weak and dispersed tribe among Israel, and missed out on a specific blessing in Deuteronomy.
People in the New Testament named Simeon or Simon all have something to do with the sword. See Simeon's blessing of the Christ child, and note that it is Simon Peter who cuts off the high priest's servant's ear. There were 2 disciples with swords, Simon Peter one of them. We are not sure who the other one was, but all best guesses go to Simon the Zealot, who would be the group's radical right-wing extremist, or Tea Party 3-Percenter Oathkeeper of the day.
Jesus said He did not come to bring peace but a sword.
He also said that the time would come where everyone should buy a sword. The disciples said they had two swords, and He said that was enough. I take that to mean that for that time, 2 was enough. For the time to come, there should be more.

It would be very appropriate for the year that the Tribulation starts to be "the year of the sword". The sword is a symbol of judgment used in writings of the OT prophets and the Trib begins with all kinds of war: Ezekiel 38 and maybe even Psalm 83.

Ask and ye shall receive. There has been yet another prophetic movie introduced this year, and it has to do with a sword-- and MANY other prophetic references. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Arthur:_Legend_of_the_SwordThis is YET ANOTHER in a long line of different offerings of the King Arthur story.

This is remarkable video on the significance of the Hebrew year 5777 from a Jewish perspective. Takes on additional meaning when you consider the timing, theme and logo for this year's International Day of Peace.
The rabbi is not flashy so you have to settle in and focus but very much worth it.
