I posted a short request in the shoutbox last night for a lady from my church. We are also in a Bible Study group together. Her name is Leslie. She was admitted to the hospital (covid) and they have had to intubate her. She already struggled with health issues and had to use portable oxygen already. She's had such a rough past couple of years that this makes me sad for her. Please pray for her. I know God can heal her, but I also know there is a real possibility that God heals her by taking her home. So please pray for her kids (they are all grown). I don't know if any are believers (one daughter might be). She also has two teenage grandsons that need Him desperately.

Not much news. The latest is that her oxygen levels look good, and they have adjusted the ventilator levels as needed. They have her on steroids and antibiotics and a blood pressure medicine.
Thank you to those who have prayed for her. I know it would mean a lot to her knowing people are lifting her up to our Lord.

It seems that she is indeed doing well as the update today is that they have taken her off the ventilator. She's still on oxygen, but at least is off the ventilator.

Leslie needs prayer for a new issue. She's not able to swallow because of having had the vent. They want to use a feeding tube but she's not able to swallow it. A specialist is coming tomorrow. Would you please pray that God heals her throat miraculously or that she is able to get the tube in?

They were able to get the feeding tube in.
I probably won't add more to the request unless something major (good or bad) happens. She's probably going to be in the hospital a while. Thanks for praying for her.

I'm sad I have to make this update. So, Leslie already had lung issues and was on a portable oxygen tank. Because she is so exhausted and needing such a great oxygen intake, she is going on hospice. They have told her that she wouldn't be able to go home or live independently. Plus the high concentration of oxygen is further damaging her lungs. So, she is preparing to go Home and see her Savior. I haven't talked to her, but knowing her I imagine that she feels very blessed that she did get off the ventilator and has time to say goodbye to her kids. She's at peace about this, but please pray for those of her family who don't know Jesus.

So sorry to hear this Natalie, but I'm so happy she knows the Lord, and knows where she's going, it makes all the difference in the world. I just lost my closest nephew last Sunday, but knowing he is a believer and is with the Lord, took a lot of the sting out of it. I'll be praying for Leslie's family. Hope your husband is doing better.

Thank you, Bernie. My husband had a rough night and said he almost called to go to the hospital. The coughing is terrible. He got some different meds that are supposed to help. We are monitoring his blood oxygen too.

Thank you, Bernie. My husband had a rough night and said he almost called to go to the hospital. The coughing is terrible. He got some different meds that are supposed to help. We are monitoring his blood oxygen too. Do you have ivermectin? I watched some utube on that med and it helps; so they say (Dr. Chris Mortenson). There is also one that a chiropractor friend has that works as well as the ivermectin. Let me know if you want that info and I will contact him? The ivermectin is also for horses and some people use that avenue to obtain it. However, one doctor on utube said it can be ordered on line with a prescription for about $25. let me know if you want that info and I will get it for you. |

Leslie went Home yesterday afternoon. We have also had one other lady pass away. She was good friends with Leslie, so I imagine a reunion between the two of them.
