I take a slightly different approach to 7 day/7000 year timeframe.
I'm gunna work my way from old to new in timeframe here.
biblehub.com/timeline/Tower of Babel - ~2100BC (Amorites/Canaanites)
Abram sent to Egypt ~2091 BC
God's Covenant with Abram ~2081 BC
God's promise of many descendants because of Abram's
faith ~2085 BC
When we look at Genesis 15 (~2085 BC) we see something important.
16 But
in the fourth generation they shall come hither again:
for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
They are the children of Abraham by
faith. Paul stated gentiles have been grafted in to the branch through
faith.
"
the iniquity of the Amorites" was defined in Leviticus 18.
Leviticus 18:24-30 tells us why God is booting out the Canaanites.
Leviticus 18:28 also says that if Abraham's
children of faith does
these same things,
they too will get spued out of the
land. What's important here is the "
land" was defiled.
Later in the Bible, when Israel crosses the Jordan to take possession of the land, they don't fully exterminate the people as God commanded them. So that means "
the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full" is still... not full... even to this day.
Well, when does it get
full?
Where do we find that?
Jeremiah! And Luke...!
But first, lets go to Daniel 2.
King Nebuchadnezzar's Dream.
Basically, the statue of Nebuchadnezzar is all about himself and the kingdoms that will follow him in control of the world where the toes of iron mixed with clay is the last kingdom before Christ comes back (the piece of mountain cut out by God that smashes the toes of the statue). So, God is ruling the world using gentiles; all power and authority comes from God... Romans 13/Daniel 4.
Now, with that.
The entire statue is still of that of Nebuchadnezzar, even though Daniel said that only "the head of gold" is him (Daniel 4:38).
How do I get to this conclusion? Jeremiah!
Jeremiah 27
We see the Canaanites again:
the king of Edom
the king of Moab
the king of the Ammonites
the king of Tyrus
the king of Zidon
Jeremiah 27:6-8
God gives control of the nations to the King of Babylon
Nebuchadnezzar....
and his son... and his son's son,
until the very time of his land come: and many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him (become his slaves).
This is a clue. I haven't found any other answer to Genesis 15:16 on when this would occur other than Jeremiah 27:6-8.
This is telling me that God placed Nebuchadnezzar ... and all of those after him... in control of the entire planet until Christ comes back the 2nd time (Hebrews 9:26-28). Remember in
the fourth generation in Genesis 15?
Until the very time of his land come... These are gentile nations ruling and committing the impure acts in Leviticus 18. Look at the back of your 1 dollar bill. What do you see? God was right! The children of Nebuchadnezzar are still in control of this world. There is a God! This entire planet is inundated with Babylonian symbols, holiday's (including Christmas), asterath poles, capital buildings that portray the womb, etc.
Now, let's continue in Jeremiah 28.
We have the battle of prophecies between the false prophet Hananiah from Gibeon and Jeremiah.
But something interesting occurs.
Hananiah makes this "false" prophecy (Jeremiah 28:3-4) that all the vessels of the Lord's Temple and Jehoiakim's son Jeconiah, and all the exiles of Judah would be brought back
within two years. NOTE: He doesn't say the nations! After Hananiah makes this "false" prophecy, Jeremiah agrees with him (Jeremiah 28:6)! But, with the exception of not bringing back Jeconiah. Jeremiah only agrees to the bringing back of the
vessels of the Lord's Temple and the exiles of Judah.
Note: not Nations!Right after this, Jeremiah talks about the end times tribulation Jeremiah 28:8.
Then Jeremiah alludes to
Christ in
Jeremiah 28:9.
Then after the Christ allusion of Jeremiah 28:9, Hananiah this time says he'll break the
wooden yoke
within two years ... of the NATIONS! (Jeremiah 28:11).
Then Jeremiah says
a new yoke will be applied to the NATIONS made of IRON, not wood! This is Christ's rule of 1000 years (Jeremiah 28:14).So to summarize:
2 years with a wooden yoke (Abram to Christ) which is then Broken
from dispersed people and vessels returned.
Allusion of Christ and prophecies of old of Tribulation of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.
2 years with a wooden yoke
on the Nations (Christ to Christ) which is then Broken
from Nations.
New
Iron Yoke with no specified end date of being broken.
Abram to Christ: 2000 years.
Christ's death in 30 AD to now: 1991 years
There are 9 years left until 2030 AD.
The Jews were in Egypt for either 400 years or 430 years.
Now... for Luke.
Luke 21:24
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
"for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."
I rest my case!
