My son (15) and I had a conversation about the gospel this evening. I just ask that you would pray that he would continue to think on what we talked about and believe it for himself. (It seems he's been thinking about Jesus returning and heaven and these sorts of things)

Yesterday, I asked my son if he had thought any more on what we had been talking about. He said, yes. He said he had been thinking about how to get to heaven and said that the way to get to heaven is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins. And he said, "I do believe that." I'm very thankful that he believes it. Pray for us as we talk about what it then means to follow Christ. My son struggles a lot with authority. (Mine, Pastor's, coaches - He is currently refusing to clean up after himself and start school.) I so wish God changed us right away so the struggle with the flesh wasn't so hard.  I know there is a purpose in it, but it is a big challenge at times. Thank you for praying for him. |

I prayed for light to pierce through him this morning (as I do for my daughter & step kids)...I will continue to remember him also.
We get a reborn spirit but our minds and flesh take a lot of time to renew

Natalie, Prayers for your son and for you as you guide him into understanding. I have been talking with my son lately too. He is 32 and has sadly walked away from the foundation we laid for him as parents. We have, however, had some interesting and lively conversations by phone about what is happening in the world lately and I have shared some of what I believe might be coming in the way of prophetic fulfillment. I have encouraged him to read his bible and he said he will consider it. I am also sending him a letter encouraging him to put his hope in Christ among other things. As I pray for my son I will lift up yours as well. I have a growing list of prodigals I am praying for these days. I would appreciate prayers for my son Ben as well. Thank you

How did I miss this?! Awesome news! Praying that his faith will flourish and that the Spirit will bear abundant fruit in his life - especially obedience, humility, temperance, etc.
Also praying for Ben!

I'll throw in with you both while we're at it. My son Joshua (in my profile pic) has SPD, ADHD, and struggles with behavior issues. I'm frequently in prayer for him. He is young, but already believes fervently in Jesus and knows the gospel inside and out. Please pray that God would grant him self-control and gentleness.
