As an interesting alternative to all the other ways of understanding Revelation, Scott explains his understanding.
He says that the whole book of Revelation is not necessarily chronological beginning to end--but that each chapter is chronological, and a lot of them are telling the story of the same time period, and should be synced together in harmony, rather than linked together end-to-end.
He likens it to different musical parts on a music score, which are all played or sung at the same time, not one after the other.

Fascinating video, watchmanjim! I'd so much like to see the details on how Scott views the layers of all the chapters in the book of Revelation.

I look forward to watching it, thanks! That's how I read revelations, too. It's a chronological but it kind of gives a quick overview with you first, then retails it again with more detail, filling in bits and pieces. And then tells it again letting you know the purposes, The Who's, and the why's.

I do think there is some of that going on. Not sure if I would agree with every detail, and then again, he did not give every detail in the video. If he were to make a chart, I wonder what it would look like.

I've done a chronology chart for myself. Rt has done a wonderful job explaining what the Scriptures are saying and making sense of it. The version I have made for myself has only one purpose, and is to comfort people who are afraid they are going to be in the tribulation and have read the book, but are not studying it in depth because of hindrances... A lot of children, bad eyesight, working all the time, etc. We sit down with the Bible and do a quick run through, and then I ask them "if you are IN CHRIST, and Christ is unrolling the scrolls, where are you in this picture?"... invariably they'll see that they are not on the receiving side, from the first seal on.
