One thing that has been nagging me for a while is will we really know who the 'He' is in the Daniel 9:27 prophecy at the confirmation?
Daniel 9:27
And he will confirm a covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come the one who makes desolate, until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, gushes forth on the one who makes desolate.”
Now I don't mean the 'He' isn't the AC, because I do think that is who it is. I mean we may not know who that person actually is yet and may not even at the moment of the confirmation. Why I say that is this:
Thessalonians 2:1-2
Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
This indicates to me Jesus coming to gather us to him. The Rapture. When? The DoTL.
2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
Again he says not to be deceived/shaken/disturbed of that Day. What Day? The DoTL from the previous verse. What comes first? Falling away and AC revealed.
2 Thessalonians 2:4
who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
When and where is he revealed? At the AoD.
So, Can a person possibly be revealed and then revealed again? That doesn't make sense. Is it possible that a covenant may come and 'He' confirms it, but we don't know who it is? Could it be a confirmation with many by more than one person and/or nation that the AC is a part of, and he technically confirms it, but we won't know which person 'He' is?
As God said, the AC, man of sin, son of perdition isn't revealed until the AoD.
Or, maybe it is a singular person that confirms, but he is not fully the AC yet. By that I mean 'He' is demonically possessed, but not satanically. I think there is a difference. In that case, we the believers shouldn't be deceived (not counting the "lukewarm" believers as they may possibly be deceived), but just about everyone else will be. Part of why we are called to watch. Hope that makes sense.
