It's becoming more conceivable that the election goes to the House. Certification looks to be stalled in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Michigan... that means Biden does not have 270.
Ok, I can't resist jumping in here. Take it all with a big grain of salt...just my observations, and more questions than answers.
Since Nov. 4, the wife and I have been popping popcorn and praying for God's will to be done here. Truly, we are fine with this which ever way it goes, because we just believe that God is unfurling his plan for the ages, and that we are at a critical point in time. So, His will be done.
As we sit back, resting in what (Who) we know, watching the show, we have to laugh daily. It's obvious to us (and we hope many) that the democrat strategy has been to seize the day. With a complicit media behind them, they seem to be whistling past the graveyard. Claim victory quickly, assemble a transition team, start making appointments, seek GSA approval for intel transfer to begin, etc., etc. Steamroll!
Tell a lie long enough and people will begin to believe it. We know the vast majority of Americans are blind sheep, following their own evil desires and completely deceived by the MSM.
Trump is so hated by the left, that I believe many, otherwise decent people, are willing to compromise the values they teach their own kids (about things like honesty) and ignore the fishy circumstances surrounding this election. Because, if we are honest, we can all see how sketchy the whole mail-in voting thing is, right? It's just as Trump said, a perfect recipe for massive fraud. Is anyone surprised...allegations of voter fraud come up every election, at least for the past 4 or 5, so this one is really suspect. Anyway, some think it's ok to turn a blind eye if it serves their political leanings. Nothing to see here, move along.
But we find the Trump campaign/admin. moves here quite mysterious and compelling. Not even a hint at concession. And they are quite happy to lose cases in the lower courts. Plenty of time to appeal up the chain, all the way to SCOTUS if needed.
On Friday last week, Trump reassigned the conservative SCOTUS justices to circuit court oversight in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia...hmmm. Now that is really interesting.
Kayleigh McEnany is, daily, marginalizing CNN, MSNBC, all of them. Yesterday she gets a question shot at her from a CNN reporter and she says, as she walks off the platform, "I don't call on activists".
Trump tweets last night and essentially asks the question "why is Biden appointing cabinet members, he hasn't won yet". Now we expect this bravado from Trump, but, if he isn't holding an Ace card, is all of this just a Hail Mary? We know Trump is full of himself, but we also think he loves this country deeply. We doubt he would be doing all of this for purely prideful reasons. It's too important. We know he doesn't need the money, right? Wouldn't it be easier to just walk away and resume his business, make a couple billion $ more?
What Sidney Powell is saying is curious. They've released some 234 affidavits alleging fraudulent election activities, but there seems to be more. Like she is holding an Ace card close to her chest (as you'd expect a good lawyer to do). We think most Americans really do believe Biden won, and they are mortified that Trump is refusing to concede. Another example of how arrogant Trump is? Or do they have something rock solid in the bag? A smoking gun, could it be the Dominion servers or proof that the software flipped millions of votes? Do they have proof of illegal ballots being dumped after midnight in Detroit, Philly, Atlanta, etc.? They keep repeating the mantra "We want all legal votes counted and all illegal votes thrown out".
Or is it as Gary surmises above? A strategy to come to a stalemate forcing Congress to decide?
If no candidate for president receives an absolute majority of the electoral votes, pursuant to the 12th Amendment, the House of Representatives is required to go into session immediately to choose a president.
"The Constitution is pretty clear on how this plays out. If there is no winner in the Electoral College, Article 2, Section 1, Clause 3 states that the decision goes to the House of Representatives while the Senate picks the vice president. But the voting in the House is different from the Senate. In the vote for vice president, each Senator has one vote. But in the House, each state has only one vote for president—regardless of its size—and a presidential candidate needs 26 states to win." www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2020/10/21/what-happens-if-trump-and-biden-tie-in-the-electoral-college/ Not sure how this can be considered a tie...I think Pennsylvania certified last night. So it would take some court, and most likely SCOTUS, to rule that the vote in one or more states was fraudulent to the extent that the results can't be certified. This wouldn't be a tie, just a chaotic situation where a winner can't be legally declared. I guess that would move us to Congress.
We also think that if Trump somehow is declared the winner, the left will go ballistic. We think every major city in America will be set on fire. Civil wars have started for less. On the other hand, we also realize that if Biden is inaugurated, there are plenty of people on the far right with a few screws loose enough to start something bad. Praying this doesn't happen regardless of the outcome.
Trusting Jesus. He comes for us very soon anyway. Our hope isn't in presidents or governments.
Thanks for reading my ramble, if you did.
