Just a couple of prayer requests that I have for people in my family.
1. My sister. She just texted me to say she is separating from her husband. They have been together over 17 years. Honestly, I didn't even think they would get married (14 years ago). She was baptized as a teen (possibly just to fit in at the time?) but has drifted very far into the world. She has many vices that I won't bother to mention.
2. My soon to be ex-brother-in-law.
He is more than 20 years older than my sister and is in the cusp of retirement. He has worked his whole life as a funeral director so he is familiar with Jesus, but I don't think he has ever accepted or he has drifted far from the Lord as well.
I know this and the next stage of his life will be a challenge for him; hopefully it will draw him closer to God.
3. My Mom. Her 4th husband just made her a second time widow. Her mother whom she didn't have a good relationship with also passed this year. I don't have much of a relationship with my Mom and don't really want to open my life up to her. I would like to see her actually seek Jesus rather than just believe that OSAS allows her to do whatever she wants, where she treats it as basically a license to sin.
4. My Dad. He is recovering from Prostate Surgery. Prayers that he will fully recover and be restored to the energy levels he had before falling ill. Also prayers for discernment for him as his primary source of Biblical teaching comes from TV ministries. He keeps wanting me to watch TV ministries that I am not interested in watching.
Thanks for your prayers. I pray that they will all seek Jesus in their struggles and that they will be directed to the narrow path.
