Hello Friends,
I'm starting this thread, to discuss and share thoughts and ideas about God's calendar, and Jubilee years, and Shmita years, as well as other things that relate to the topic of God's Calendar.
Shmita is a Sabbath year, and was commanded by God to let the land rest every 7th year.
Then, after 7 cycles of 7 Shmita years, 50th year is the year of Jubilee, and all debts were cancelled, and slaves were set free. There are huge prophetic implications and foreshadows of the Year of Jubilee.
When the Year of Jubilee happens, Trumpets are blown at Day of Atonement, but not in other years.
There is a lot of talk lately, that this coming week, Rosh Hoshanah, is the start of a year of Jubilee.
According to Torah calendar, this year is the start of the Jubilee Year, which has huge prophetic and end-times implications.
I think it's very interesting that this year, Yom Teruah falls on a Sabbath.
**Disclaimer - I have tons of respect for Messianic Rabbi /Pastor Mark Biltz. He's one of the main ones who have brought the concepts of Blood Moon Tetrads, along with Rabbi Jonathan Cahn into such a huge place of importance now recognized by many end-times teachers across denominational lines - including Perry Stone, Pastor Jack Hibbs, Pastor Jerry Tony, and Jan Markell, Scotty Clark, Paul Watchman Dawson, Pastor Steve Cioccolanti, Roy Bentley, JD Farag, David Jeremiah and a growing number of YouTube watchmen.
Here's the point - Each teacher that has a different date is basically picking a year [9-11-2001, or 1948 - birth of Israel, and looking forward and backwards 50 years for other major events in Israel's history, or major world events. But it's difficult if not impossible to know since it's been thousands of years since Jews celebrated Jubilee.
This video is very thought provoking.
He makes some very compelling points, re God's divine planning and precision and that the 70th week of Daniel will start on a Shmita year. 7 cycles of 7 shmita years, then the next year is Jubilee.
**With that said, the Jews have not kept the Jubilee years as God told them to, and there is a direct correlation to the 70 years of captivity, for the years they did not follow the Command of Jubilee.
Jewish leaders and rabbi's are disagreeing on if this is indeed a Jubilee year, and tons of theories trying to go back thousands of years.
*** Go to Torahcalendar.com and then on the home page, you will see the box in the upper right corner. Put in 7 for the month. Tishri is the 7th month of the Religious calendar, but the 1st month of the civil calendar. [Lots of very interesting stuff going on with the 1:7, 7:1 correlation of months] It will pull up a full month calendar with all the names of the sabbaths, and the new moon of every month, etc. Notice that on the 10th of Tishri, it gives several events. Click on that, and it opens another window with the explanation.
If you are not familiar with Hebrew calendar, or the concept of Shmita years, or year of Jubilee, -an excellent video for this is Nelson Walters video on Shmita years.
