Of course, there's no way for anyone to definitively know. But upon mention of prophetic imminency, reactions I receive almost all involve an instant shrugging of shoulders. Sometimes interesting discussion follows. Sometimes an indulgent smile with a "who knows?" sort of response.
I'm curious how many Christians are actually watching for our Saviour?

Hi wasp, it is hard to gauge how many are actually watching - but when I read comments from several watcher you tube videos specifically concerning the Rapture and Jesus' soon appearing, I see fellow watchers stating they are looking for Jesus anytime: in North Carolina, in Kentucky, in Oregon and Washington, in South Africa, in England, in the Philippines - and it warms my heart! What a reunion it is going to be!!

Great thread, wasp and welcome to the Forum, It is always great to have new people join our tribe of watchers. I agree that it's impossible to know, but I have lived in 4 countries and 11 states. Poland, Russia, Ukraine and USA, and have attended churches from Nazarene, PCA, Southern Baptist, Bible Methodist, Church of God Holiness, Church of Christ in Christian Union, Non-denominational and Evangelical Free Church of America, and all my years and across the denominational spectrum - The result is the same - It's a very very small percentage. The vast majority of so-called Church people are apathetic / asleep/ Social Club Christians. Of these that really follow Christ and are actively hearing his voice and live out their faith, day in and day out, the number of those who are watching - students of end-times and are watchmen on the wall - it's a very small number. My guess is somewhere around 5%. I'm currently part of a church of about 400- 500, and work in another county with mostly Christians from different denominations, and in a 2 year intensive men's group of guys from different denominations from 3 counties - and none of three groups overlap. [ People from work are not in the church we attend, and none of the people in the church are in the men's group. ] I have never heard a single sermon in this church on end-times, specifically dedicated to the rapture, Second coming or events of the Tribulation, or Revelation/ Daniel. Most are not even remotely open to having a Seder supper, out of fear of being Legalistic. In all the circle of Christians - not counting this forum - I know maybe half a dozen who are specifically interested in/ study end times. What I find most ironic, is that the two denominations which are often labeled as cults, or extremist are the ones that are the most actively teaching and studying end times- and at the same time, a large and growing denomination is the same one with the highest level of Replacement Theology. One of the biggest lies in the church today, taught and regurgitated over and over is "Well, No one Knows the day or the Hour I'm convinced, that we are seeing a vicious circle of apathy, fear and ignorance, and each one in the cycle feeds the other two. It's the rapidly growing collective apostasy - teaching false doctrine, and overthrowing the faith of weaker Christians - that is the proof to us as sheepdogs, that the Harpazo and the Coronation of the King is very very soon.

I am blessed to be in a church where I think that a lot are aware of the time we are in. We are a small church though (I would say under 75 people). A couple of years ago the junior/senior high Sunday school went through some of Revelation and a teaching on the Rapture (the pastor teaches that group). Before Covid, our Sunday School had started studying Revelation and the teacher believes that Jesus is coming very soon. Not too long ago I remember our pastor making the comment that we are hurtling toward the Kingdom. (I even had one member, who knows I am aware of things, send me one of Pastor JD's updates. ) I have several friends and family on Facebook who I know are watching. I am sure we are a minority though.

I can tell you that prominent reformed pastors like MacArthur and Steven Lawson are watching. Mac has a series on his GTY app about the Rapture and afterwards. He also had a few YouTube videos on it. He's pre-mil, pre-trib dispensationist.
So perhaps their people are looking. I attend 2 churches and neither mention it. The folks in my prayer group depend on ME for information.
I'm just so glad my adult kids are now watching. My eldest is pulling for mid-Trib because he has a faith statement to complete. It's 135 pages already.
Don't know if I shared this but he was considering proposing to this lovely girl, but she walked out because he wouldn't convert to Catholicism. He started writing his faith statement while they were dating, to explain the faith and counter RCC doctrine, and he still intends to send it to her.
I'm putting his statement online when he finishes. I'll link if you're interested.

I too feel very blessed to belong to a small local church that believes in and teaches about the times we live in. A lot of us listen to the same online teachers, and openly discuss the soon coming rapture. The previous church we attended was another story altogether, and openly refused to teach on end times, barely even teaching the gospel message. Ugh. I asked the head pastor why he wouldn't teach on end times or prophecy, and he said he didn't want to cause unrest. Rightio.... we left. The church we now attend is just exactly what our family needed. Thank you Lord!!
