Greetings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ! I just noticed something about the Sixth Seal of Revelation 6:12-17 and wanted to share it with you, as I believe the Sixth Seal is the key to the timing of the Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the 7-year tribulation period. While this is not directly related to the Tetrad and 4 Horsemen, it is the next event on my theoretical timeline established here, so I thought this might be a great place to post this message. If it needs to be moved to a separate thread, fellow Lamplighters, you certainly have my permission to move it.
So, I noticed that Matthew 24:29-31 is very similar to the description of Revelation 6:12-17.
Revelation 6: And when I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black like sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind. The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”
Matthew 24: “Immediately after the distress of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other."
In the following verses of Matthew, Jesus even mentions the fig tree in context with His 2nd coming. Could this be also tied to Revelation 6 as the stars appear like unripe figs as they fall? Verses 32-42 say: “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."
And then Jesus said something that makes me wonder if it might be tied to the verse of Revelation 12:4, which says: "And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, ready to devour her child as soon as she gave birth." Matthew 24:43-44 says, "But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
I know we've discussed the possibility that the Dragon might attempt to thwart the Rapture in some way. Could this be the very reason why the timing of the Rapture is a secret? If the "owner of the house" (perhaps the "god of this world") would have known when the "thief" (Jesus) was coming to snatch away His people, might he have made an attempt at devouring them?
I would love to hear your thoughts about all these things, and I pray the Lord blesses and protects you all as the day of His return draws nearer and nearer and nearer!
