Seems like war and insurrection are on the near-term horizon. China vs. India (20 soldiers dead today). China vs. Taiwan (aircraft standoffs). Turkey in Libya. Syria/Iran. U.S., Peruvian, Lebanese, and growing worldwide riots. This has been a year like no other and the "contraction" doesn't seem to be stopping. First the peace plan reveal with the largest quake of the year the very hour it was unveiled, then CV goes worldwide. Then riots. So in light of this, I offer a possible scenario for how things might continue to build in prep for the rapture and 1 Thess. 5:3. I think it's interesting to speculate on how the puzzle pieces might fit, and this is only speculation.
Considering all these sudden riots around the world (U.S., Peru, Lebanon, etc) and what looks like the brink of major war (Pakistan/China/India/Taiwan/Turkey/Libya/etc). What if the compounding 2020 dominoes (Peace plan, Coronavirus, riots) lead next to outright war... peace taken from the earth... for maybe a few weeks/months. Then at the end of the Summer time-frame the "ETs" step forward, which in reality are satan and company's arrival on earth after being cast down (see Rev. 12:3-4, 7-9; 2 Thess. 2:9-10)... and their arrival means the end of the war... people cry "Peace and security" in worship of these entities. Remember, in Rev. 12:3-4 satan is portrayed as being on earth with his angels post-fall ready to devour the child.
Now that would explain both 1 Thess. 5:3, but also a very literal interpretation of the threat posed to the Church by satan... and then the Church escapes and the A.C. is subsequently presented to the world (2 Thess. 2:3, 7).
Regarding Rev. 13:4 where the people of the world actually worship the dragon, it's hard to imagine hundreds of millions of Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, and Hindus outright accepting satanism and worshiping the devil. But that verse indicates they have an awareness of the dragon and worship him, so perhaps this goes to satan and crew showing up as ET/heroes of old/superheroes/world's saviors.
I'm speculating that a century of programming on extraterrestrials and superheroes wasn't for nothing.

while plausible Gary and certainly something to watch for as each day passes; I would posit that the many are already worshipping the dragon. Consider Matt 12:30 in that much of what we see in this world is of the spirit of anti-christ (1John 4:3). As I review the message of the media and the governments of this world NONE proclaim to be with Him. All look to science, mans wisdom and equality (among many other things) to remedy a problem already solved by the blood of Christ. The issues we are seeing are being told as black/white Dem/Repub, free/bound yet it is not flesh & blood but spirit. And as the multitudes look to mankind for remedy, the frustration mounts ever further. For sure we have been surprised by corona and the race riots, and what the Lord allows next will likely follow suit. #EternalLivesMatter! |

you say it's hard to imagine hundreds of millions of Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, and Hindus accepting Satanism, but I wonder if this is where 2 Thess. 2:9-12 comes in. "The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
The delusion doesn't necessarily come after the specific activity of Satan, as he has been active for, well, since the beginning. Perhaps they see the ET's, if that's what will come, as wiser than us and the ET's "teach" mankind how to get along, thus the "peace and safety". Then, once the people accept, say maybe by taking the mark or not, sudden destruction comes. Those that don't take the mark are quickly killed and them that do take it realize afterward their mistake and are thus destroyed when Jesus returns. More speculation of course, but I think the picture you paint, Gary , seems plausible. |

So many things happening at the same time now. Many of the things has happened before but not to the degree/extent/magnitude and not in total conjunction with each other. I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime.

Same here nana , and if this is just the beginning, then I pray that Jesus help us to cope and persevere until He calls us up. "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. " Matt. 24:21
I mean, if the great tribulation has not started yet...wow! Don't let anything surprise you.

stormyknight, It is very plausible the rapture will be a rescue mission. I believe God is gleaning the last that will come to him by allowing time/delay of the bridegroom. God wishes no one should perish but all would come to repentance and his word will not return void. We just need to keep sharing the gospel with anyone that will listen until he comes which is soon I believe...

I've been going through my End Times study of Isaiah 13-14 + Jeremiah 51-52 + Rev 17-18 of Mystery Babylon.
This verse poked right out at me today:
Jeremiah 51
30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.
I get a picture of a similitude of:
Cops withdrawing, people staying in their homes, mighty failing to do anything about it, men became as women, burned dwellingplaces, bars broken...
Does this sound crazy? It's like Jeremiah was watching Facebook videos from today.

We know there's lots of occultic and satanic imagery out there. What's so weird about I Pet Goat is how in your face it is. You don't even have to believe in conspiracy theories to see it.
