At the beginning of the MK, every citizen is a Tribulation Saint. The human species gets 1000 years to work out its issues before final judgement, and everything becomes new.
Of course, we are no longer human, so we don't need to marry and multiply. So, we are to be teachers, judges, kings, leaders in the MK.
Tribulation saints are worldly people. They came to Christ at a time when the existence of God was indisputable. Likewise, their understanding of Hell and damnation is also responding to the onslaught of dramatic events and evil people. So the choice for them has high risks, but also a high likelihood that the promises are true.
When they enter the MK, after 7 years of Tribulation, they are still human. They are just saved. And they are new Christians. Baby Christians populating a world for 1,000 years.
It took 5 generations for the United States to descend into what it is today. Five generations from the Depression children to today's kids.
The description of the Millennial Kingdom is beautiful. It's perfect. It's inhabitants are not. Their children will have to accept Christ just like ours did. They will rebel, like some of ours did. At the end of the thousand years, the army aligned against Jesus is absolutely massive. So sin abounds near the end of the thousand years.
Our jobs will not be easy. We will need every bit of Christian character to love these people as God loved us.
boymaker,
Great thoughts indeed! Yes, when we co-rule with Christ as His priest-kings during the Millennial Kingdom, our jobs will not be easy. I believe that at first, since the whole world believes during the first few years of the MK, then our jobs will be pretty simple and easy. But, as more children are born, our jobs will get harder. I believe that we will need to educate the Tribulation saints to pass on their faith to the younger generations so that there will be a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ throughout the Millennial Kingdom. However, some of these Tribulation saints will not pass on their faith, and there will be sin and rebellion. I believe that we will need to teach these saints as priests to pass on their faith with grace and truth, and also "dash the nations like pottery," as our Lord and King will, when the descendants of the Tribulation saints fall into rebellion and sin.
