It appears that we are at Matt. 24:7-8 (KJV) in the timeline of this chapter: "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."
That being said then we are at the beginning of sorrows and perhaps the quasi beginning of the tribulation era.
Another interesting thing about this chapter's timeline is Matt. 24:28 KJV to wit: "For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.”
In my opinion, here in Verse 28 the carcass is the dead body of the beast and the eagles are the fouls of Rev. 19:17 to wit: "And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;”
Please notice that the eagles (Matt.) and fouls (Rev.) are "gathered together" and this references the war against the beast as described in Rev. 19:19. It follows that the beast and his false prophet are destroyed in this warfare (Rev. 19:20)
So it appears that the beast is destroyed at Matt. 24:28.
Thus, the pre-tribulation era spans from Matt. 24:7-8, the tribulation era wherein the beast controls the earth spans from Matt. 8-27 and he is destroyed in Verse 28, and the wrath of God spans from Matt. 29-31.
From this timeline the beast rises at Matt. 24:9 that corresponds to Rev. 13:7 and the KJV reads: "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
Additionally, please notice that Matt. 24:22 KJV references the days being shortened and in my opinion this is the rapture to wit: "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”
Please notice that the days are shortened for the elect of God or we could say the saints etc.
So here is the time line in my opinion:
1) pre-tribulation, Matt. 24:7-8
2) the reign of the beast, Matt. 24:9-21
3) the rapture, Matt. 24:22-26
4) the destruction of the beast, Matt. 24:27-28
5) the wrath of God, Matt. 24:29-31
From this timeline Matt. 24:22 corresponds to Rev. 7. It appears that the days are shortened for the elect's sake and not shortened for the population of the world. From this it appears that Rev. 7 is the rapture that sits after the six seals of Rev. 6 but before the wrath of God in the seventh seal of Rev. 8. Thus the following:
1) Seals 1 & 2 (Rev. 6) corresponding to the pre-tribulation above
2) Seal 3 (Rev. 6) corresponding to the rapture above. This seal includes Rev. 7.
3) Seals 4 - 6 (Rev. 6) corresponding to the reign of the beast above
4) Seal 7 (Rev. 8) corresponding to the destruction of the beast and (5) the wrath of God that follows. This seal includes Rev. 9-11 (Rev. 12-19 are parenthetical to the seven seals)
Some overlapping exits and Rev. 7 (the rapture) exists within the rise of the beast (2nd seal) and the reign of the beast (4th seal). That is, the rapture of Rev. 7 takes place at the 3rd seal.
The remainder of Matt. 24 (Verses 32-51) is parenthetical information that applies at various locations to the timeline in Matt. 24:7-31.
