So I just listened to this teaching and I am convicted. I do not like what I heard but its causing me to realize that I may be resisting God. (Much of this applies to me wearing a mask, not necessarily other applications at this time but it could as tomorrow or future days unfold)

Thanks, Mike. Definitely stuff to think and pray on. this topic continues to percolate in me. Last night my daughter graduated 8th grade. It took place outside and was about 87 degrees when it began. Many parent had no mask on, but almost all of the children kept them on. Mind you each chair was 6 feet apart. Since the seating was arranged where parents were in the vicinity of the kids her mom and I were able to communicate with her. When the ceremony reached the point where the kids names were called and were going to the podium, I mouthed to her to keep her mask off. Since there was no specific instruction to wear masks throughout the entirety, I felt this was acceptable. She was the only student (of maybe 120) who walked to the podium without their face being hidden. I got to thinking more about this message I posted and felt that maybe I didnt council her correctly. I wanted to bring this topic to the body here that I love and trust for further thought on the matter. I certainly do not want to resist God. Ive done enough of that through my life intentionally and unintentionally already. I will also add for thought something that has been on my mind since watching the video above. I have been reading through the prophets and most recently now in Daniel. Something I have been learning more about is history. The Maccabean revolt has me contemplating the actions taken against foreign oppressors. The Jews were told they couldnt worship their God and had to bow to a false god, much like Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah, and (separately) Daniel. EDIT-the revolt (as many know) led to Hanukkah being instituted, which our Lord also celebrated John 10:22-23 Wearing a mask and socially distancing myself is not exactly the same, but where does this end? What is next? Recently CBN covered a new (ish) bill being proposed and has already passed the demon-cratic led House, Biden says he'll pass it in the first 100 days if elected. This bill provides rights to LGBTQ people and oppresses Christians who oppose their view. Where does this end? If Jesus is not to return for another 100 years (which seems unlikely) should we just lay down and say 'this is what God wants to happen'? I am persuaded that 'NO' is the answer but want to hear what others think or how its seen. Perhaps my understanding is skewed

I don't know what the rules are in your state, but ours has said that masks are to be worn if you can't maintain 6 feet apart. So, most stores and offices have signs up that you have to have a mask. Other places it is up to the individual; for example, my son is playing baseball and no one is wearing a mask (well, I did see one guy last night wearing one just til he got passed everyone to set up his chair). And it seems that it's just up to individuals how close they want to sit to others. So, I try and follow the recommendations (or a store's rules), but I probably would have also told my child they may remove their mask during the whole ceremony but put it back on when everything was over and people would be closer together. If there were no specific instructions, then I would not feel that I was disobeying those in charge. It would seem to me that it was personal preference - like our baseball games.
I have mentioned before that we have a small congregation and have no trouble spreading out. Our pastor encourages masks but has not made it mandatory. I wear one before and after because there are several members who have other conditions, and I want to be considerate of them. But I remove it during the service, as do most others. But then again, Pastor hasn't made it a rule so I don't see it as a matter of obedience/disobedience. I guess other than God has commanded us to love one another, and I see this as a way I can love those in our congregation who are not in full health. But I don't feel that those who do not wear a mask are not loving or not obeying.
Our state just passed something that means schools will be teaching LGBTQ history stuff. I do not think that a child needs to know the sexual orientation of a person to benefit from what they contributed to history, art, literature, etc. And they don't need to know the history of the LGBTQ movement. But it's the agenda that is being pushed. It seems while wiping out the real history of our country and silencing Christians. I am glad that I am homeschooling my kids. But those who don't have that option need to teach their kids the truth, even if that child may have to keep silent about it at school.
I went out to eat with a friend of mine and we were talking about some of this agenda being pushed. She's my mom's age and her husband is a bit older. She said he is very patriotic, fought for our country, conservative. He would post things on Facebook and has been told that he needs to stop because they offend some of the people in his family - meaning the ones that are pro LGBTQ. He feels that here he is, 70 years old, and he has lost his voice. We may not be physically persecuted, but we are going to be told to shut up. I could go on with some other stories she told me about some Christian businesses in the area - it's increasing.
So, to answer "Where does it end?" I guess my fear is that it won't and those who will stand up to it are too small in number to enact much change. I hope my pastor takes a stand when they come and say "No singing". I think that's going too far - when the government tells you how you can worship (especially when we are taking all other precautions to keep our people safe). My friend also commented that the tearing down of all statues and wiping out our history creates a generation (or more) that are not patriotic. Then a foreign power comes along and they won't fight for the country. That will be the end of America.
I also don't think that the true Church will lay down and give up. But we aren't going to be able to save America or turn it back around. We may have to let go of our identity as Americans in order to be more true to our identity as citizens of heaven. It's a bit sad to watch though.
So, in all that...I think we must pray more fervently for wisdom in these times. Wisdom of when to speak and what to say, when to take a stand and when to back down, and wisdom to help each other.

Natalie, I'm in NJ and the rule is basically as you laid out. We have to wear a mask when we cant socially distance. However it seems to me that the vast majority just wear a mask for the sake of wearing one. I try to comply, especially indoors. But sometimes its just not practical. For example a couple weeks back I was in Home Depot. Since they keep all the doors open it was pretty warm in there. I was starting to sweat, which made me breathe my own hot air! I went to the garden center and promptly removed my mask. I was still "in the store" but outside and felt like I was doing something wrong. And I think that is a part of the issue. We're being told to wear a mask because we might be sick, when in actuality we're not. I checked for a biblical precedent and came across Lev 13 regarding leprosy and covering your face and crying out "unclean". I feel as if we are being told we are all unclean with a disease and we arent unclean. We are assumed unclean by our misled governors (turning into dictators). Anyway thanks Nat for your input. It is helpful and appreciate anyone elses too

I wanted to share this with you all, or whoever reads this...
As I was watching my Church streaming today, I got lead through various scriptures which lead me to commentary on biblehub.
Ellicott said something that really struck me.
As Covid19 circles the entire globe, truly this is a messenger from God, the destroyer, to cause the wicked to purify themselves before his return. But that isnt the end of it, for in the same commentary the murmuring of the people caused their destruction. (Numbers 16:41-47)
Do we murmur today? As Covid stops our businesses, our entertainment, the quality of food from takeout, ability to shop at a store etc...are we complaining today? I know I did yesterday as my wife was rushing and we didn't make lunch so she picked up Wendy's for us and the kids. The burger she got me was terrible...definetly tasted freezer burned, old and just not a good burger. I blamed Covid19 for it and today I realize after reading this, I should be content and happy with what I have.
Let us all not grumble, but let us be content during this time of testing on our world. That we don't give into influencing spirits but remain steadfast, unbroken and uncorrupted by them and give ourselves as over as a living sacrifice holy, clean and spotless as Christ did refraining from all things "dirty" and unclean. Especially from our minds and our tongues.

THe latest Prophecy Update by J D Farag is incredible - and very applicable to this thread. It includes quotes by Dr Fauci as well as the World Health Organization on the medical and biological ineffectiveness/ of wearing a mask.
It exposes the false narrative being spread by the Main Stream Media.
He explains how scientifically, and biologically, the coronavirus is 1/10 of a micron in size, and a human hair is 100 microns in diameter.
He also explains how this is incrementalism and that the mask mandate is the precursor which sets the stage for the mark.
As one other seasoned watchman so perfectly stated - "This pandemic has dramatically sped things up - regarding end times chronology".

Perhaps a grassroots movement standing on street corners, hospitals, need to carry signs that say this: 200 mg HydroxyChloroquine 2 x daily 500 mg 1x daily Azithromycin 220 mg 1x daily Zinc sulfate
Stella Immanuel treated 350 patients with this, Zero deaths, Zero hospitalizations, Zero intubations.
Ya just dont intubate a person as they lay there. You need paralytic drugs, and a plethora of other items which do NOT support recovery but promote failure of the person's body to fight this. I dont know how many places I have read this, or had conversations with those who are seeking the truth on what this virus is actually doing to the body, and come across ventilators being death sentences.
btw, the doctor's meaning of her name is STAR GOD WITH US.. can't make this up!
