I had a thought today. (Just one, so I don't get uppity.)
When we are Raptured, we will have solid bodies like Christ. We will meet Him in the air, with all of the saints who have died before also getting THEIR solid bodies.
Millions and millions of people.
I wonder if there will be some kind of consequence to the Earth for that short time. A shadow? A long blink?

Some think there might be an earthquake. It makes sense that there might be something as so many instantly go from the physical to the spiritual. We are changed in the twinkling of an eye, so I don't think people will see us go to meet Him in the air, but I wonder if some will sense a change. Or like you wonder, a shadow of some sort. ? That would be kind of cool. I think it's an interesting thing to ponder.  |

When i consider this i often ponder
1 Cor 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
I look at this as i plant a seed (in the ground) what springs is not the seed but something very different. For the most part we are planted in the ground. Will this physical seed be a piece of what is raised? If there is any relation to the physical whatsoever, there will be cataclysmic effect... Or will the whole event be ethereal

It's a great thought, boymaker!! I've wondered a lot about this. What will be the physical or visual effect seen by the world at the rapture? I can't remember the name of the movie but i love the image of clothes falling from the sky all over the world from the tens of millions of Christians caught up. I don't think it's in scripture but its my opinion that at the Last Trumpet, all the world, everyone everywhere will literally hear the blast of the trumpet- but not knowing that it is, or where it came from. 😉 |
