Im very curious to get the thoughts and perspectives from my fellow watchmen.
What's your take.
Disclaimer *** - For the sake of clarity and because there are widely different views of the time table of the rapture and the tribulation, and sequence of events, I'm putting this in the context of the "Second Advent" - to mean not only the rapture, but the rapture, the tribulation and the events that unfold in Revelation that culminate in the return of Christ, when he comes down and sets his feet on the mount of Olives.
The Second Advent is compared to the days of Noah, and the days of Lot.
It seems that these two examples were chosen for a reason - I mean why not Jericho which was destroyed. Why not the Egyptians - who tried to hunt down and kill the Israelites.
Do you see some connection to the Second Advent that is something else -something other than what is in the poll?
Do you think that these specific examples are in any way a shadow of the Second Advent, - specifically the rapture, and do you think there will be a warning?
I think there's some clue that Christ was giving us, some key, but if so, what is it?
If you see some key, or connection, do you see that applying to the rapture, or some other end time event??

So I'm just going to do some thinking out loud about the days of Noah and days of Lot...
We know that there was rampant wickedness during both times. I think both men were probably grieved at the wickedness around them. We know that Noah was a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5), and 2 Peter 2:7-8 tells us that "[God] rescued Lot, a righteous man distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)"
So, both were righteous and both were rescued before destruction. Noah was shut up in the ark (reminds me of Isaiah 26:20) and Lot was removed from the time and place (Rev 3:10?). Noah was given a week's warning before it started raining; Lot was told to grab his family and go. Why a seven day warning for Noah? Was it a time for others to repent? Was it just a time to trust God? (Upon further thinking, Noah's whole ark building time could be seen as a warning.)
In my opinion, the righteous Bride is living at a time of wickedness. Yes, it will get worse, but we will be rescued out of it, shut away, and removed from the time and place of God's wrath and judgement on this world.

So, just doing some more thinking ...
If it has nothing to do with the rapture, I think that it could just be saying that the judgement of the wicked will take them by surprise. There they are eating, drinking, marrying, buying, giving no thought to God and judgement, and judgement comes.
However, two things make me pause. First, in Revelation 6 (I think) they know that the wrath of God has come. I think that at some point it is going to be obvious that it's no longer life as normal. The second is that I think Matt 25 is a couple of parables about the 70th week. That chapter starts "Then...", the parables are then followed by the sheep and goat separation which I think takes place at the physical return. The sheep stay and populate the kingdom. So, if there is a timeline of sorts, then the days of Noah take place before the 70th week officially starts.
But I don't know...I go back and forth on whether it's talking of the rapture or not. But as I look around, I see a world that has no concern for the fact that Jesus is coming. While they are saying "peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes". Just like in the days of Noah and Lot.
