The story of Joseph has been on my mind lately and I think that there are some insights into the 7 years of tribulation.

I don't want to date set because I could be completely wrong. I am not a bible scholar so I value other opinions on this. Howeverlet me share some thoughts. It seems to me that we may be in the 7 years of plenty right now. The Revelation 12 sign points that we are in the end times. The North American eclipse in 2017 and another one scheduled for 2024 may indicate a time for spiritual preparation and possible judgement to come.
I think the story of Joseph is mostly addressed to the Israelites and Jewish people, however it is instructive for gentiles as well. Remember Joseph was beaten up by his brothers and dropped down a well and given over to a gentile group from Egypt
Eventually Joseph became the most important person in Egypt, next to Pharaoh. Egypt thrived even during the famine. His brothers searching for food, found him in Egypt and did not recognize him. And he eventually saved them all from famine and death.
Joseph is a type of Christ. He was battered and rejected. He was handed over to the gentiles. During the future 7 year tribulation period, they will finally recognize him, and there will be great rejoicing on heaven and earth.
Some things to support we are in the time of plenty: (1)The Trump administration says we have record unemployment levels, pretty much for most groups in America. More Americans are working than at any time in history. (2) AOC prophesying we have 12 years left on Earth because of Global Warming. Obviously she is misguided, but 12 years would equal 2 years of plenty has passed with 5 to go and then 7 years of tribulation. (3) This also lines up with the U.S. election cycle. I think Trump will win again in 2020 and the economy will remain strong. However in 2024 I can see a far left Democrat or a socialist being elected president and the U.S. economy and world economies going in the tank. I can also see the rise in tariffs by multiple countries leading to economic chaos
(4). The rapture could potentially happen at any time, but based on these clues, maybe it won't be until 2024? 12 years from now puts the end of the tribulation at 2031. How many years does this put us since the death and resurrection of Jesus?
