I don't think I have ever taken the time to study out that passage. I hadn't really considered that it is a chronological list, more of just facts. Some of it is pretty straight forward like "manifested in the flesh" and "proclaimed among the nations and believed on in the world". I now understand "vindicated by the Spirit" because that always seemed to puzzle me.
One of the things I had wondered about was the "seen by angels". Were angels able to see Him before He was manifested in the flesh? There are verses that say God dwells in unapproachable light and God is spirit. He did appear as the Angel of the LORD in the OT, but I suppose that's not quite the same thing.

Natalie, Gary, Thank you, Gary, for posting this. I'm glad you got a chance to read this too, Natalie. One more thing about the "seen by angels." I should put another cross-reference there to 1 Peter 1:12, "...angels desire to look into these things." The "these things" being the prophecies about Christ—His sufferings and "the glories after that" (cf. 1 Pet. 1:10-11). I think that is what Paul is getting at in Line Three of the poem. Grace and peace to y'all!
