Yes, you are right, yardstick! I am really interested in what lies beyond, and the fact that so much is beginning to make sense now, makes me really excited!

Interesting old topic. My understanding of Dan being removed was that Dan causes others to turn to iniquity. Do we see that in Churches today? Do some churches allow things that can cause what would be believers, to fall into wickedness? Dan was full of idolatry and was not a virgin like the 144k are. He did not follow God. But Dan is not just gentiles that believe not, but a Church That has corrupted themselves that has a form of holiness but denies the power therof

So as the bad ones go, Benjamin is at the top. If I were going to exclude a tribe it would be Levi. So why include this priesthood tribe as one of the 144,000 when it was dispersed among the others? That is, Joseph should be included as Ephraim and Manasses, and Levi should be left out of the list (Rev. Ch. 7) and this would give the 12 tribes. So why include Levi and why not replace Joseph with Ephraim? Are we to read Joseph as Ephraim? Perhaps we are to read Levi as Dan? That would explain a lot. Levi as Dan and Joseph as Ephraim and all twelve are accounted for.

Read in Ezekiel (?) that they are not allowed in the innermost “court.” Jesus is the forever priesthood however that never ends and is in the inner “court” at the right hand of God, which means Levi priest are not needed to atone for sins. The outer court is outside the temple. We are the temple in which God resides in, which is why Levi cannot come in. They are no longer needed.

Excepting the lineage of Zadok, the Levites as a tribe are not allowed to do all the stuff they used to do. They have a few tasks still, but those are relegated to minor functions. The interesting thing I find about the 144k is that they are the sealed tribe members. Why not seal Dan or Ephraim? Joseph was never a tribe - his lot was in the half-tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim. I think that there is a biblical passage that says that Ephraim becomes many nations (see the 'Dan' thread)... If Manasseh is listed as a full sealed tribe, and Ephraim is not listed as a sealed tribe at all, but is many nations; then the only conclusion i can come up with is that the half-tribe of Ephraim either were completely wiped out (I doubt this very much); or they are saved as harpazo-ed believers...

Why would Ephraim be sealed if they went into harlotry? If it is many nations, separate from Dan and separate from many nations of Ishmael, then is Ephraim the west?
And if true, what fortress of Ephraim is destroyed that rules over many nations as in a Mystery Babylon sounding feel to it...
Also interesting is the fact the curse that appears on these 2 tribes from page 1, have to do with iniquity in drinking the water of gall and wormwood. The same water of the curse the women drinks in Numbers 5 and Rev 8. The time of testing. It recalls the ink horn that goes into the city to see if men weep for the city or for others. Or Lots wife looking back. Of course, some here may believe the wormwood is a meteor crashing into water causing it undrinkable but the Lord says you will drink it and be tested. The same call this pre Trib saints, the Bible calls them : those that have the faith in Christ and follow the commandments of God. All Christian believers. As Numbers 5 says those in God, the water won’t touch, so does Christ say those truly in him will be kept from the hour of temptation. Because they are virgins.
