I fully believe that the LORD is still to this day giving supernatural dreams and visions to both believers and unbelievers. In the last decade or two tens of thousands of Muslims in the Middle East have received dreams and visions of Christ, many of whom came to faith because of these. Likewise, in Joel and Acts we are told that the last days would be marked with people experiencing such supernatural occurrences since God's Spirit, poured out on Pentecost, moves in the hearts and minds of many.
In my humble opinion, Christians who have closed themselves off to the possibility of these are not trusting in the full counsel of God. At the same time, there should also be legitimate hesitation because this is an area absolutely rife with deception. Anyone can claim to have had a vision or dream and claim it was from God. Consider how many "visions" have led to false sects (Islam, Mormonism, etc). And closer home, consider how many dreams shared in prophecy circles have offered predictions that didn't come to pass.
In summary, we should share our dreams and visions with one another for edification and encouragement, but keeping in mind they can be subjective and are always secondary to God's word. Insofar as they agree with God's word and the sharer is trustworthy, we accept them.
I've had some dreams myself that I've shared and if I find them again I'll move them to this board. Joecool , you inspired me to create this new board!

Because of the importance of discernment when sharing dreams and visions, let's lay a few ground rules:
1. Do not share anything that contradicts core doctrine.
2. Do not present anything as "Thus saith the LORD" (or similar). Doing that is very serious as it is essentially equating your dream, vision, or supposed word from God with the inerrant words of Scripture and is a claim that what you're sharing is beyond criticism.
3. For the purpose of staying on topic, please only share dreams or visions that you or someone you know has had, or dreams/visions from recent history you've come across. For discussing dreams/visions recorded in the Bible (e.g. Joseph's dream, Daniel's vision) please use one of the other boards (Prophecy Discussion or General History, for instance).
Outside of these three rules, please share freely. Having a centralized location for all of these could be a huge benefit to the Church!

In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
