The part about Nimrod and Abram was fascinating! I'd never heard that story before and hadn't really realized until I checked some of my old Genesis study notes that the time span between the Flood and Abram was short enough that Noah actually died just two or three years before Abram was born!

He found that stuff in the Book of Jasher, so-called. I sincerely doubt that this Book of Jasher is the actual ancient Book of Jasher, which is legitimately cited twice within the Old Testament Scripture. I have read the existing one, and it seems to me to be primarily "Jewish Fables" and superheros stories. (Includes things like the 12 sons of Jacob destroying eight or so cities in as many days, without sleep, and in many cases, doing exploits like leaping from the ground to the top of the city walls, etc. Some of it is entertaining, but I don't think we should take that book very seriously. However, the part about Abram's star may have some validity, and may have come about from citing earlier documentation. Certainly the Jewish authors who wrote it would not have made the connection with Christ's star or the Rev. 12 sign. Abram's star may well have been legitimate. Maybe Scott will find it on Stellarium.

However, I really did like this video, and the Matthew 18 connection was especially interesting!

Thanks for sharing Tim.
Yes, I also really liked the connection with Matthew 18. It may be a parallel to John 3 after all: we must become like little children to enter Heaven in Matt. 18 and we must be born again to enter Heaven in John 3. Really fascinating connection.
