The Ark of the Covenant has been making the news a lot this year. I know it has been discussed a bit on other threads but I want to compile a thread of some of the articles in one spot. "The Ark of the Covenant was eventually brought from Kiriath-Jearim to Jerusalem by King David but disappeared when the city was destroyed by the Babylonians in 587 B.C, Some claim that it was taken to cave on Mount Nebo, Jordan, or to Ethiopia. Speaking of the Ark of the Covenant
(and yes, there are too many "theories" on where it resides now)
This is more along the lines of questions .......
In 2 Samuel 6 and also in 1 Chronicles 13 -- where we hear the story of Uzzah -- who we are told was struck dead by God -- for touching the ARK ...
Here is the actual quote .... "As the ark was being transported, the oxen pulling the cart stumbled, and a Levite named Uzzah took hold of the ark.
God’s anger burned against Uzzah and He struck him down and he died."
AND yes there are many, many theories about why was the guy killed for performing what many may feel was a "good deed" -- stabilizing the ark.
AND no my question has nothing to do with the death.....
BUT is more along the lines of in 1 Samuel 4 and 5 -- is the story of the ark being captured by the Philistines -- and the Philistines apparently ended up moving it (the Ark) multiple times.....
So here is the question; how in the world were the Philistines able to move the ARK -- without touching it? If they did touch it -- how come they were not killed?
Seems that there are many stories that seem to be incomplete -- on the WHYS?
Just raising these questions ........
