While I do think the RC top dog (Pope) is more than likely the False Prophet and thus making the "Catholic Church" the "whore" spoken of.....
I really do believe -- most of the world will be "LOVING" the False Prophet (whore) in the immediate future and will only come to "hate her" in the last days of the Tribulation....

 The Economist magazine from 2019 shows us the 4 horsemen coming and they are facing the west! The 2nd horse, which is the red horse of war, has a rider with a statue of liberty crown on its head. The Biblical interpretation is that Babylon the Great will be annihilated in 1 day and in 1 hour when the death card is laid down. But at the same time. the rapture will also occur because the Lamb will stand up and the temple in heaven will be opened and the voice that will shake the heavens and the earth will call those who are ready up to meet Him in the air on the cloudy day! Glory Hallelujah! "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18:4
