I saw a move called The Remaining where it showed the rapture with bodies left behind. I guess the souls were taken. Do you think it could happen this way? If it did I can see why no one would believe it was the rapture they would just think it was a disease or chemical attack.
Theres a video here of it below

Wellllll I don't think so, for several reasons.
1. He will change our vile bodies to be like His incorruptible body. 2. Those in the dust shall rise up according to Daniel, so why would the dead people's bodies go up, and not the live ones? 3. The examples of Enoch and Elijah went up bodily.

Thanks for the question, Will. I happen to be with Jim on this one. That's a very interesting scene, but I believe the Bible clearly teaches that our bodies will be changed, not just left behind.

Ok well that makes sense. Sad because that was actually a good movie. There arent many good movies about Revelations. Other parts were still good like the judgment of hail.
I guess I like the thought of our bodies changing better anyway because of saving my dignity!

Harpazo events in the old testament did not leave bodies. Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. When Jesus went up into Heaven he did not leave a body. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. No bodies left behind as a matter of fact when God returns he will "no doubt" come for us with thousands and thousand of chariots. Psalm 68:17 The chariots of God are twenty thousands, even thousands of angels; the Lord is among them..."

Wow that is so exciting and even incredible to think about. The world will be so surprised when it happens I bet they WILL think it was aliens.

Wow that is so exciting and even incredible to think about. The world will be so surprised when it happens I bet they WILL think it was aliens. Hollywood has been teaching us that narrative since the times of Orson Welles and the War of Worlds.
