Thank you. Yes, please keep praying. While he believes he is not easily letting go of the world and its ways.
Pray with me for him to have his eyes opened to Gods truths, and anything else you are led to!

I do appreciate the prayers on this thread and ask that you remember Dylan again. The update here is better than the last, praise the Lord! Little did we realize that God was continuing His working on Dylan in the anti-christ environment he was living in! Short story is the family of the gf is quite, extremely liberal and even a bit nonsensical. Actually very nonsensical as they deny God, which is the epitome of foolishness. As some of you may have seen, my mom had a very slight stroke in January, which caused her to have issues with her vision resulting in double vision and dizziness. With that, once released from the hospital she needed care at home. Really mostly assistance with a few things. My brother, sister and I hired a care firm for her for two weeks, which was a bit costly. My stepson has been going to school to be a phlebotomist (got a 95 on the national exam yesterday) and eventually a nurse or NP (cant remember) in a few months when he completes school. Given his learning & experience in the health/medical field we asked him if he would be willing to come help my mom out for a few days a week. We called him in late January asking if he'd be willing to leave the gf in PA and come here for a few days to care for my mom. We really anticipated that he would do only the first two days (Thurs & Fri) since the gf parents in PA are extremely overly paranoid about corona. We hoped he may be able to assist the week following as there was no other care provided, but my mom was slightly improving so we were playing it by ear. *Note that all of this was to commence after the 2ft. blizzard here in NJ, which was roughly Feb 6th I think... He agreed to do this and assist my mom (note that we did pay him, but less than the pros ) - after the first two days of him being here his mom and I were talking about how long he'd be staying and she wasnt sure. We spoke with him and said "how long you planning on staying before heading back to PA?" our thoughts were 2 weeks, so the parents in PA would be somewhat satisfied with him being quarantined before he went back there. His answer was "2 weeks"... He went to help my mom the entire week following. After dinner one night he mentioned to his mother that he wanted stay 2 months! I was like "hold up we didnt sign up for that" LOL! Then the truth starting coming out... Dylan & I began to talk almost daily about the goodness of God. the plan of salvation and how much the world is at odds with Him. He began to share with me that when he would express his beliefs in the Lord with the family of the gf they would roll their eyes at him, and say things like there is no god (Psa 14:1) ... That they put on the news (CNN) from the moment they woke until they went to bed and complained all day long. Reminds me of 2 Pet 2:7... Next we find out that he wants to stay here with us until July! He doesnt want to go back there due to the environment he is subjected to. The part I see as needing prayer is that his plan is to move the gf out in July then move in with her after he gets a full time job, which is now on the horizon as he has his license to draw blood. Please pray God convicts him to stop living in sin, with her and either she come to Christ or he break this fellowship he has with her. Thank you

I had missed this update until today. Thank you Mike for sharing how God is working in Dylan's life. It is so encouraging to hear how he is finding comfort away from the world and has noticed that the world contradicts and doesn't listen when he tries to mention God.
I pray that Dylan will continue to grow closer to God over the coming months. I also pray for him to have wisdom in making the decisions that God would bless in his life rather than the ones that draw him away from a closer walk with God.
I am thankful that this opportunity for Dylan to leave the home of his GF's parents has arisen. It can be a challenge to understand how God can use the suffering of your Mom needing additional care to be the catalyst to bring Dylan closer to Him. Sometimes it would be nice if we could all just draw closer to God without anyone having to go through some type of suffering, but then how would we know we need to rely on God?

Thank you all for praying, I sincerely appreciate it. I post back to show us that our prayers have effect (or is it affect? ) sawdy, I hadnt thought of that but that does make a lot of sense and could be the reason.

Hello all - for those who had read along I wanted to offer a story about how encouraged I am to see how the Lord is working. Please continue to pray for Dylan as the Lord is removing blindness from his eyes. I believe this young man has potential to be used in great ways for the Kingdom. Not because he's part of my family, but I see his heart for people and frankly he'll talk to a rock if he thought the rock would listen As you may know he's been working for a mobile covid testing facility, so hes in different areas each day. Yesterday he was in Elizabeth NJ, next to Newark. At one point of the day he said these 3 'black' men approached the site with handouts about Jesus being black, and that God hates white people and only blacks, hispanics and american indians are going to heaven-it says so right here in the bible they said. The people he worked with yesterday were Puerto Rican, Hispanic blend and him. All 3 appearing 'white'. the purpose of these men was clear - hate. They continued with their diatribe, and Dylan said "you hate me cuz Im white, what about him (pointing to the Puerto Rican coworker)". They said they hate him too, to which contradicted their pervious statements. Dylan pointed out that the coworker was fully Puerto Rican, and they shouldnt hate him. But the dialogue continued, and the men became loud and more aggressive in their stance. Dylan then said "you know you can hate me, but I love you. I have nothing against you." the situation was diffused! He came home later on to express what happened and said this to us "these guys hate me cuz Im white, I was in a position where I couldnt find the right words to say. When I finally spoke it was like 5 minutes later. But these guys hate, and I have no right to hate anyone when Christ hung on the cross for me" there was more discussion, and I commended him for following Christ, encouraging him to continue to walk in the love of Christ. Praise You Father in Heaven!
