The same "synagogue of satan" is mentioned in Rev. 2:9, but also in that same Letter to the Church at Pergamum, it states that satan's throne is located there. And that Jesus's Christ's faithful witness, Antipas, was killed there, "where satan dwells". From what I can discern, Pergamum is modern day Bergama in western Turkey. Perhaps someone can enlighten us about the Church 'Age' of Pergamum? As I understand it, each letter was not only to a physical place/area, but also a time period of the Church as a whole and/or a Christian's personal attitude/character/lifestyle, correct? So how would satan's throne being located near Pergamum play into there being a synagogue of satan, if at all? I would think if there are those who worship satan, they would be near his throne, or at least make 'pilgrimages' to it. Maybe the answers to these questions might lead us to know who are the ones lying about being Jews.

Notes I have: the years 313-600, started with Constantine. Satan's throne was what they called the Altar of Zeus. It is now in a museum in Berlin. Antipas was killed on it (roasted inside a gutted bull).
