Yesterday afternoon in a rare moment of downtime, I was sitting on a pier alone enjoying God's majestic creation. I was meditating on the verse:
1 Corinthians 2:9
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
This got the gears turning of what God has in store for us in the next life.
I was imagining sitting on a planet looking up at multiple moon, zebras with different bright colored stripes, birds with multiple neon colored wings, watching the sunset on multiple planets at once, teleporting back to New Jerusalem for special feast days.
I want to draw a picture for Jesus and honor Him by doing every step personally like growing the trees for the colored pencils to the actual coloring of the picture.
Imagine receiving the privilege of naming new species of animals like Adam did, or seeing a Chimera for the 1st time, or riding on backs of dragons/dinosaurs, or scuba diving with all manner of sea life, or running as fast The Flash, or flying like Superman.
I got excited when I realized whatever people can possible imagine it is nothing compared to what God can think up and we will have all eternity to Honor Our Heavenly Father and to experience new sights, sounds, tastes, and smells. Thank You Abba.
Sorry if this post seems random or jumbled I been suffering from a bout of insomnia recently. My mind is running on fumes. In eternity we will have renewed minds, hopefully able to remember all the brothers and sisters in Christ we spend time with throughout eternity.
Also I plan on taking a nap on/with a pride of fluffy lions (think Aslan from Narnia). Although I don't know if we will require sleep in eternity.
What are some things you all imagine we will be doing, experiencing in the next life?

I have often tried to imagine or understand what heaven could be like. The overwhelming sense of no time and no limit to space nearly made insane, it is just too much to try to contemplate. Not to mention standing, kneeling falling on my face at the Majesty of the King. Our minds simply and truthfully cannot comprehend this. By the time I said "Stop!" cuz I thought I'd lose my mind, I hadn't even thought about colors or anything else 🤯

I've always wanted a horse.
I look forward to being rested and to be able to worship with no sin and distractions.
I imagine it will be the most beautiful place. I would love to have a garden and grow all kinds of exotic things.

Oh yes! Hallelujah! I’ve imagined many things! From ruling far flung galaxies to ruling an entire universe that God will make for each one of us. But now my desire and my prayer has been to be as close as possible to King Jesus for all eternity!
I want to sit in His throne room or just be a doorkeeper forever and ever! I just want to sit and listen to Him administer His righteous rule forever! If He goes out on expeditions throughout all the realms He has, I want to be part of His convoy! I just want to be in His presence right where His throne is at!
That’s where my imagination has firmly settled now! Yeah it would still be cool to rule over a planetary system, but I want to be with King Jesus! That’s heaven for me! And I’ve prayed to be rewarded to be a court official where His throne is at forever!
I can’t wait to have my mind blown beyond my wildest imaginations though! Soon, soon, soon! Amen!

The thought of corporate worship with angels in the Throne Room also gets the adrenaline pumping.

Imagine worshipping with John the Baptist or Abraham. I also like to imagine animals joining us in a worship session. I get butterflies in my stomach when I think about singing a song to God with Him right there. Hopefully He will bless me with a better singing voice

I always think of how overwhelming it will be. Literally everything will be GOOD! Every sound, every smell, every sight, every touch, every emotion, every thought, etc... and at no time will anything be less than good. It hurts to contemplate. And through the mercy of God we aren’t exposed to all that yet, for in our unclean state it would practically be hell for our minds to process; the holiness of everything would wreck our very souls. Can’t wait for our sanctification and glorified bodies to experience His holiness and everything that stems from Him.

...to never have a migraine again!
I also have sat and contemplated what our Heavenly Father has created for us as humans and to know that what is to come is more that we can comprehend fills me with great wonder and awe. But, one thing I can't wait to not remember any more is the crushing pain of a migraine/cluster headache.

So many things.....to know as I am fully known...that alone completely blows my mind! To Know God, to know Jesus as He knows me, without my fallen flesh getting in the way.
To have perfect vision and hearing, to be free of pain, to never feel lonely. To walk forever and in every moment fully embraced in His love. To eat of the fruit of the tree of life. To sing praises to God with all those others joined together there. What a chorus that will be! To enjoy fellowship with all the saints, to meet my relatives who I never knew who trusted Christ. I could think of so many things....oh what a day it will be!
Thanks for inspiring us with this post!

Last night I was thinking about history and how we could potentially spend years and decades rewatching history as if we were there. How cool would it be to go back and see The Red Sea being parted as the Israelites escaped or see Elijah call down fire on the altar or even the mind blowing moment of the earth's creation.

That is very cool however the party of history I don't want to review is my own! Unfortunately I most give account for my words and actions. To many of those I am embarrassed by and literally standing in front of God answering for those is not what I look forward too.

The God had prepared for them who love him.... I always wish for loving service to him. He said, if you love me follow my commandments.
I can imagine what God has for my father who passed away 2 months ago. He loved God till his last breathe. I know God has something special for him.

In addition to the amazing-ness of getting to know Jesus and see Him, and reuniting with loved ones, I'm really looking forward to the animals.
I want to spend time with gorillas, wrap my arms around a lion, watch all the pets I've ever loved get to meet each other.
Plus we'll be in places so beautiful we can't imagine, and we'll never have to leave.
