I think you're on to something. There is a political shift happening this year from peace between just the Israelis and Palestinians to include an entire regional peace agreement - the many. I personally think we might see an actual agreement of some sort over the next 3 or 4 months. Daniel tells us that the antichrist enforces or "makes strong" the agreement, not that he necessarily makes the agreement himself. Perhaps Trump makes the covenant, then the rapture happens and all heck breaks loose, then the antichrist steps in and confirms the covenant as a "solution" to the inevitable war that will follow the rapture.

Someone recently left an impression on me when they pointed that the Bible clearly states that the antichrist will be revealed in the middle of the seventieth week, and not before that point. I think v.27 can be interpreted as the antichrist will be one of the many who sign on to the agreement, in essence narrowing down the field.

Hmm. That's an interesting thought. Hadn't thought of it that way before. I suppose after the rapture there will be so much chaos and war that it may be hard to make heads or tails of the geopolitical scene for awhile and it may not yet be apparent who the a/c is.

Once the rapture happens and the restrainer is removed, a great deception will fall upon all the people on the earth . This will give rise to the antichrist, Daniel 9:27. It will be possible to be saved however, it will be very difficult during this time of tribulation . Many people will believe the lie.
If the signs of peace and safety with the many are now coming on the world stage, just think how close we actually are to the rapture!

I agree. I think he'll be one of the signers, but that he will not take the limelight position at the beginning. I have a few people in mind that make for a good candidate but I'm sure glad that we DON'T have to find which one it'll be. Jesus will take care of him and we have other work to do...
