It is about 3 in the morning and the house is still. Everyone but me is fast asleep. A few minutes ago I noticed through the slats in the window blinds a bright light in the southern sky. Without my glasses it was just a bright light but I got up, put my glasses on and peered out the window to see what it was. It did not twinkle and thus I knew it was a planet. It was due South and a bit below where I think the ecliptic is. Hmmm. I went back to bed, turned on my tablet and selected a star program that allows me to point the tablet in any direction and identify what heavenly objects are in that direction. It was Mars.
One of the last things I did last night before falling asleep was to watch for a second time Paul Dawson's latest video posted on his Berean thread. It was a fascinating journey into the sky and into history, as well as being a heads up to all watchers. He didn't push a conclusion but rather sparked in me a desire to look and understand more.
Last year at this time I knew very little about the heavenly realm. On a clear night when I took the dog out I often looked up at the sky. My first thought was its beauty. My second thought was the greatness of God Who created it, my third thought was my own smallness and insignificance. My final thought was my neck was not comfortable and it was cold and time to go back inside. How much I have learned! Thanks to this community of watchers and to others as well I have learned not to be comfortable in my ignorance but to look, to dig, to ask, to seek. And just like you I find. Now the sky is not an inscrutable dazzling display light years beyond my grasp. Rather it is a great chalk board upon which our heavenly Father is explaining things to His children. He moves these heavenly bodies here and there in prescribed paths to teach and enlighten us. Once two thousand years ago, Jesus came in the form of a man. People could reach out and touch Him or cling to the hem of His garment. Or spit on Him, slap His face, and crucify Him. After His mission was accomplished He ascended into the sky and left His children staring up. They were left behind. Now in many ways He is calling us up. Our thoughts are not only about the never ending struggles of earthly things. We are learning to see with new eyes. Other things too take on new meaning. Floods, volcanoes, earthquakes, storms, and all the other events that used to seem random now become part of a warning system that has awakened the watchers. We are ready to go. Our future is bright with promise. All our tears will be wiped away.
Thank you for allowing me to share these night time ramblings with you. That bright light gleaming through the slats of the window blind spoke to me and I just had to tell you.

Amen gkp! Thank you for sharing! Your testimony about last night brought to my mind what happened to me when I was born again! When I accepted Christ as my Savior I started to look up and ponder the heavens. And my first revelation was that the moon can be seen during the day! Silly as it may sound I had never known this prior to being born again! Why? Because I never looked up! I never scanned the heavens to ponder the greatness of God or desire His soon appearing on the clouds! It wasn't until I was made into a new creation that looking up became a daily activity for me! And I was so amazed, just like a little kid, that the Moon could be seen during the day! I also couldn't believe that I had never known that truth! Goes to show how lost I was when I was serving the enemy! A mind focused on the things of this world causes one to not think on things above! Amen!
Again thank you for sharing! God is so good! May all of us keep watching and praying always so that we will be accounted worthy to escape all the things that are about to come on the earth and stand before the Son of Man! God bless you forever! Amen!

Love that, gkp. Has a very poetic and awesome touch. I could never express this the way you did it, but I can feel your heart and your feelings behind your lines. Thank you for sharing this with us, brother! It's great to have brethren all around the world walking the way to our eternal and glorious destination.

I have a new thought to run by you all and a brief attempt to find the right thread to put it in led me right back to this one I started a while ago. I am still waking up early and still peering out the window at heavenly bodies so I guess this fits. I just really want to offer this up to you all right now.
I have been anticipating this lunar eclipse for quite a while. Many people, especially Daniel Matson, have given us a lot of info as to why it is significant. Some of the things that stand out to me are that the moon can be a symbol for the Jews, the eclipse is very visible from Israel and is centered over Iran, that this blood moon can be an omen for the Jews regarding hard times to come.
I checked out the eclipse on Stellarium last night before bed and noticed something very interesting. While the lunar eclipse is happening over the middle east, we in my part of the world are looking up at a beautiful blue sky and a dazzling bright sun. What Stellarium showed me too is that the sun is in the constellation of Cancer, and is very close to what astronomers call the beehive. In ancient days is was known as something else - multitude or offspring. So I just checked out what my old buddy Bullinger had to say about the other stars in Cancer. Here are some interesting things:
- The brightest star in the head is named Tegmine and this means holding. -Another star in the lower claw is named Acubene which means sheltering or hiding place. - Another star named Ma'alaph means assembled thousands. - Another star named (rats-I can't read my notes) means kids or lambs.
The message in this is profoundly wonderful to me. While Jews are receiving a message of coming hard times, those in Christ are looking up at a dazzling bright sun which is indeed hiding the hiding place prepared for us. With eyes of faith we know it is there and is waiting for us. Thank You, dear Heavenly Father, for this unspeakable and incomparable gift!
