Hello, An Awakening is when the confused and frightened self transcends to a higher consciousness, a awareness full of love and peace. A spiritual Awakening should not be confused with "enlightenment", that may be defined as an intellectual understanding of higher religious principals. Spiritual warfare is the Christian concept of fighting against the work of preternatural evil forces. It is based on the biblical verification and observance of evil spirits, or demons, which intervene in human affairs in various ways, for their own agendas. clintbarton, for me spiritual warfare would be something that I need to do in regard to anything that is in the way of my on going walk with the Lord, which in this day and time that is pretty much all of the time. In God's word it tells us to put on the armor of God which is found here:
Ephesians 6:11-18 King James Version (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
After studying this, it is my humble opinion that this is something we should always have on from the time we wake in the morning. The armor is something that I think comes with much prayer and study of the Word of God. Thank you for your post. The title caused me to think upon spiritual warfare for the days we are living in, and reminded me about the armor we are told to wear so that we can stand against the many weapons that come our way.
