Every Christian looks forward to the Coming of the Messiah, as if it will be a good thing. Well, it is a good thing, if you know what to expect and are prepared for it. Few however are even the slightest bit prepared for it though, because very few have actually taken the time to read the Bible for themselves and figure out what it all really means. It is easier instead to listen to someone else who supposed has read the whole Bible and has a broad understanding of it.
We have just witnessed the 70th year of the occupation of Jerusalem. To us, it is not desolate, but that is because we aren’t one of the people who has lived there under occupation of a religious government. After that 70 years, in which the king of Babylon is allowed to rule over Jerusalem, we enter a 70 week period that includes the coming of the Messiah.
Most Christians think that will be a wonderful time for them. Giddy with excitement about being whisked away in the Rapture, before all the destruction begins. They will get a front row seat to witness what happens to those who did not ask Jesus to be their Savior. Oh it will be so wonderful getting to avoid all that pain and misery those Left Behind are having to endure.
That’s a pipe dream. Jesus never even remotely talked about a Rapture. The Rapture doctrine was made up just a couple hundred years ago. What is used to promote the Rapture is a quote from Jesus regarding what happened during the time of Noah. He said two would be in the field, and one was taken. That is the basis for the Rapture doctrine, even though there was no Rapture when Noah built the Ark. The one who was taken, died.
Christians will be left on the planet to endure the destruction, the same as everyone else. The difference between how a Christian handles it and how an atheist handles it is easy to determine. The atheist will go about his time preparing for his survival. The Christian will sit on their haunches and wait for a magical being to transport them to safety. Of course, the atheist will have a better chance at survival than the Christian, who will eventually begin to curse God for letting this happen to them. That’s prophecy, by the way, just the word Christian is not used.
I would like to help you guys understand what we are all in for, but the rules of engagement for this discussion forum do not allow for a complete understanding of prophecy. Any direction I need to go is shut down in advance. What are the leaders of this forum afraid of? Yes, there are people who will try to come in here and persuade you that Jesus is not the Messiah, and certainly not God. And there are others who will say that you are crazy for believing in a magical transport called the Rapture, that will save all the good boys and girls. And there are others who will say that Jesus has nothing to do with God’s Judgement, because God’s Judgement doesn’t come at our deaths. Everyone goes to Heaven when they die, and that is where we reside until another body is ready for our next life. These things need to be said, so that some of you will have enough sense to listen and climb out of the trap in which you have fallen, before it is too late.
And guess what else. Those are the things that the Messiah will be saying, as he draws his followers from your ranks.
Put your lock on that, Babylonians.
