I will start this thread out – saying specifically I do NOT want this thread to turn into some type of political rhetoric about Guns and Gun Controls. In fact if no one even mentions Guns again, that would be perfectly fine with me.
My slant on this thread is the apparent lack of respect for LIFE in this world. We could probably add abortion as another area of this lack of respect (but I really do not want this to turn political).
It appears to me, that people of today – especially Young People – no longer respect the lives of other people.
Have a difference of opinion, shoot them or do away with them in some way. Cut someone off on the highway, and be chased down and run over (or shot) for causing someone an inconvenience. Disagree with someone politically and have them chase you down with a baseball bat – swinging for your head.
We could blame violent movies or violent games for this change of situation (at least I assume it is a recent change) I mean we have always had “WAR” – but at least then it more along the lines of THEM against US --- and was limited battle fields.
Now days every single week this new year there has been a MASS Shooting.
There have been twelve week so far for this 2018 year. There have been 48 Mass shootings within these past twelve weeks. Mass Shooting defined as one individual killing or injuring at least 3 or more non-family members.
I think society has become so numb to this news --- which it simply goes in one ear and out the other.
I do not claim to have the answers -- simply the questions…..
I was raised in a Gun Family – meaning there were several guns (mainly rifles) located in the house. One of the biggest rules, in our house is that you NEVER pointed a gun at another person. Followed by you never left a loaded Gun in the house.
Now days – you hear of the shootings – or even worse of people have someone draw a gun on them for some minor or imagine slight given by the victims to the gun puller.
When did life become so cheap?
Is this not a sign on the earth – telling us we are in the last days?
