My Dad has just been told by his Doctor that he has lost the use of one of his lungs. He is going for tests on Monday and we are all obviously concerned. The prayers of our Brothers and Sisters on this forum are very much appreciated.

Many thanks for all of your prayers. My Dad was told by the Doctor yesterday that the initial tests were inconclusive and he is being sent for a scan in about 2 weeks.

I took my dad to the hospital yesterday for a series of tests and a consultation with a Doctor. All the staff at the hospital were awesome and we could not have wished for more caring professionals. We were told that the two outer membranes of the lungs had separated (they are normally close together) and fluid has entered. They drained 1.2 litres of fluid from my fathers right lung and was told that he should feel a whole lot better. However the consultant suspects that cancer is the root cause of this and if this is the case then it is inoperable. He will go back in about 3 weeks for a biopsy and other tests to confirm this.
Obviously this was a shock to us but we are all trusting in the Lord at this time. My Dad is saved, he is 83 and has had a full and blessed life but we are praying that he would be healed and we can all be translated at the rapture together without any passing through the portal of death first.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all of your prayers. Yours in Christ

Hey David, thank you for updating us. I have a great aunt who had a similar lung membrane fluid buildup last year and she did recover. Still praying for your dad.

My Dad has just been formally diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer due to asbestos exposure. I am taking him to the hospital on Wednesday for tests & treatments and hopefully to discover how it can be managed. I really appreciate all of your prayers. Actually I am at peace since I know that my dad is saved and also there is a good chance that he will survive until the rapture but I am more concerned about my Mum who I don't think is saved.
