For those who may have missed seeing the Blood Moon this morning, Twitter is lighting up with pictures and video. Apparently this moon was pretty spectacular in a number of areas. Pakistan: India: Indonesia: Philippines: San Francisco: Los Angeles: twitter.com/twitter/statuses/958704787738038273And just FYI, there is going to be an even more spectacular blood moon in July - the longest total lunar eclipse THIS CENTURY and all of totality will be visible over Israel.

It was interesting watching the Live feeds from NASA this morning and reading the comments in the chatbox. Lot's of lost people saying everything from the idiotic and crass to the heartbreaking (i.e. sense of doom, foreboding). There were a ton of people asking "what does this mean?". Many, many people mocking God. Just a very few people giving praise to God for this amazing sight.
Just spoke volumes to me about where we are in time and the current state of this fallen world.

these are great images, thanks for sharing them Gary. Although that first one appears doctored to me (there is an object which is likely the moon just above the horizon)

FYI a solar eclipse always follows a Blood Moon aka Lunar Eclipse Was not aware of that...what are your thoughts on them being signs for the Jews and Gentiles? I've heard several times solar for the gentile, lunar for Jew (I may have that backwards)

Great pictures!
This blood moon was interesting in comparison to the previous ones. It has become quite mainstream to talk about. I don't think I ever heard much talk about the previous ones but many people were talking about this one. I had a non-christian (N/C) friend whose mom called here and woke her up to go look at the moon. Another N/C friend was posting pictures of it on Facebook. Yet another lamented that she had missed it. My daughter was even shown video and pictures of it in her classroom at school!
In a way, it got similar exposure to the eclipse. An eclipse that they thought no one would be very interested in viewing. Is God tugging on peoples hearts to view these signs? Perhaps.
The thing I still find frustrating is that it is hard to parlay it into speaking about the coming tribulation. It is hard to say to people you talk to "Hey, did you see the blood moon? I think it ties into the scripture passage in Joel 2:31 about the last days. (quote scripture). I believe that I will be spared the tribulation and the wrath of God. Have you accepted Jesus as your saviour yet?"
On a positive note, I did invite a family (she grew up in the united church, her husband is catholic) that goes to the catholic church in town to check out the AWANA program offered at the church I attend. I was nervous the whole time I was speaking to the mom about it.

Great job inviting them them to AWANA! Praying the Lord waters the seed you planted.
The exposure about the eclipse is encouraging!

Thinking about how the last tetrad occured on major feast days (Passover/Sukkot) but now this triad occurs on what I see as Christian holidays. Thoughts?

Well, now that I think about it I misspoke. I was confusing Candlemas (Christian) and Tu B’Shvt. I was thinking about Tu B'Av and Tu BiShvat being on the moons and confused it with candlemas on Feb 2. My apologies!
