I have been very interested in reading what others have discovered regarding this coming moon and related events. So many things coming into focus! I took a break this afternoon and went to a quiet place and just lifted all these pieces of evidence up to God. Sometimes just being quiet is the best way for me to be receptive to what our Heavenly Father has to say. I was reminded of the time I had spent reading Bullinger's book "The Witness of the Stars." I decided to see what he had to say this time around.
First of all the moon is primary in our minds right now, but the sun and its position must not be forgotten. I believe both are very important in understanding these times. Let's consider the moon first. Paul Dawson mentioned in a video that the eclipse will happen in the constellation Cancer, pictured as the crab. And he mentioned the cluster of many stars called the Beehive. This is where some reading in Bullinger's book sheds a lot more light on the truth. He explains how the idea of this representing a crab is certainly not the original picture. "The Greek name is Karkinos, which means holding or encircling, as does the Latin, Cancer, and hence is applied to the crab. In the word Khan, we have the traveller's rest or inn; while Ker or Cer is the Arabic for encircling. the ancient Akkadian name of the month is Su-kul-na, the siezer or possessor of seed."
A bit later: "In the center of the Sign there is a remarkable cluster of stars, so bright that they can be seen with the naked eye. It looks like a comet, and is made up of a great multitude of stars. ...its ancient name has come down to us as Praesepe, which means a multitude, offspring."
Next Bullinger lists the names and meanings of the major stars in the Sign. Here are some of the meanings:
-the sheltering or hiding place
-assembled thousands
-the kids or lambs
bullinger sees this picture as "Messiah's redeemed possessions held fast." There is so much more I could quote but it would be better for you to look for yourselves. The bottom line for me is that as the warning of the blood moon rises in the sky, the people in Christ are safe and accounted for. But when the moon gives way to the dawn something else is happening.
The sun rises in the Sign Capricornus. "There can be no doubt as to the significance of this sign. In the goat we have the Atoning Sacrifice, in the Fish we have the people for whom the atonement is made.....The Goat is bowing its head as though falling down in death. The right leg is folded underneath the body, and he seems unable to rise with the left. The tail of the fish, on the other hand, seems to be full of vigour and life.....That picture, which has no parallel in nature, has a perfect true counterpart in grace; and 'a great multitude which no man can number,' have been redeemed and shall obtain eternal life through the death of their Redeemer."
There is so much more to this but let me try to take it beyond Bullinger's message for the people of God for all these years, to the message for US, as we stand poised to leave this planet. When the blood moon rises and tells of ominous things to come, we are right beside it, safe in the everlasting and wonderful arms of our Lord. And when the brilliant sun rises later in the morning the world will not see Capricornus because it is far, far beyond the sight of worldly eyes. Beyond the sun is our new home, filled with joy for evermore! I so hope that this will be where we are very soon.
