I guess I am full of prayer request today. This is not for specifically me however. I learned today that a nine year old girl from my sons school committed suicide over their Christmas break. She was being bullied severely at school and that is the main reason why. She tied a rope around her neck and jumped from a two story ledge. My heart is breaking for our children. They face so much. My son gets bullied at school. It is so different now. Everyone is so cruel. I used to get called pizza face and stupid things like that. Nothing like what happens today though. Now kids tell each other to go kill themselves or worse.
Pray for our children

I am deeply saddened about this. My son is 11 and has struggled with being picked on and I was called to the school when he was 9 because he mentioned suicide was an option.
How do you deal as a parent with the new reality for our children? What was once thought of as a problem in the teenage years is now a late primary school/middle school problem?
Prayer is needed daily for our little warriors. They face a spiritual struggle everyday and are very susceptive to evil influences, especially when they haven't accepted Jesus into their life.
My son accepted The Son in the fall of 2016. What a difference that has made! I am so thankful that he is doing much better at coping in his surroundings. The visits that I needed to make to the school have stopped. He is happier, even with still being picked on, and is developing friendships with like-minded individuals and staying away from making poor choices. His grades have also greatly improved.
Our children are in a mission field daily. They are surrounded by individuals who may have not even heard about Jesus Christ. We need to equip them with the tools to recognize lonely kids or stand up for themselves or those that are being picked on.
My children go to an Awana club on Tuesdays. Please also pray for our guests tonight and their family. The children and their family are from China and don't know Jesus. My son has been developing a good friendship with their oldest son and we have permission to puck them up and take them to Awana tonight.
I will be praying for your community, the school and the family as all those around feel the effects of this tragedy.

I’m praying too. That really saddens me. I’ve heard way too often of stories like this one, and it’s never far off from the last.
My wife (it’s nice not saying fiancé anymore!) and I have struggled with the topic of having children for quite some time now due to society and the way people are becoming. Men’s hearts are becoming so cold and bitter and evil, just like stated in the book of Timothy. We want kids eventually, but as the days go on that choice becomes harder to manage. I know if we raise them in a godly household they will have a better understanding of Jesus and what reality truly is, but I just find it so hard to bring a child into this world knowing how hard it will be for them. My heart breaks for all the children these days and those who truly go through hell. I can’t wait till the kingdom of God is manifested on earth and we can truly truly live the abundant life we are meant to have.

Grandpaskitzo--there is always the option of fostering or adopting. I have two sets of friends that foster. One couple has a little boy right now who had never been to church. He has so many questions. But I have seen how hard fostering can be. This little boy is not even 10 years old and has had such a hard life already and has many issues because of it. This same couple had a little girl with them for about a year. She came to know Jesus during this time and was adopted into a loving family. So, it can be heartbreaking in many ways but can be a blessing, too.
My kids are now homeschooled, but the last year my youngest was in public school yoga had become a big thing. They were doing it pretty much everyday before gym. The gym teacher had been a kindergarten teacher and I found out she was doing guided meditation stuff with her kindergarten kids. I went to the principal and voiced my concern on that. The PE teacher, thankfully, agreed not to do it in PE class. I don't want to think about the influence that would have had on all those kids. I completely believe that we are fighting a spiritual battle...whether it be the increased hatred in bullying or false belief systems sneaking in disguised as something good. Satan knows his time is short and he's after as many as he can get, no matter what age.
