So, when I realized that Trump's Jerusalem announcement came 70 years & 1 day after the 1947 UN resolution on the biblical calendar, I couldn't stop thinking there is a reason for it. What are the odds that Nov 29 1947 = 16 Kislev, and Trump's decision was on 17 Kislev of this year is just a coincidence. Then I saw a video by Leeland Jones regarding the Cyrus decree.
It just so happens, that Cyrus the Great made a similar proclamation to rebuild Jerusalem after 70 years (2 Chronicles 36:21). And, he also did it in his first year of reign like Trump. I kept digging and there are many more connections.
2 Chronicles 36 lists many kings who "did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God." before Cyrus comes. This is identical to the corrupt politicians we've had before Trump. In fact, Isaiah 45:1-2 says he will use Cyrus to "make crooked places straight". This is just what Trump is doing!
And just like it is up for debate if Trump is a believer in Christ, Isaiah 45:4 specifically says God uses Cyrus even though "thou hast not known me."
I kept going, and Ezra 1-5 has the most detail of this time. Just like today, many fought against the Cyrus decree. At the end of Ezra 3, it says their joy was heard afar off. Interesting. But Ezra 4:4 clearly shows the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building. They even halt their progress.
Then reading Ezra 4 & 5, when it's talking about building the walls, you can't not think of Trump and his wall. You could literally replace the name Cyrus with Trump and it fits almost perfect. Here is what's interesting, Ezra 3:1 says the month that the altar is built and burnt offerings began. And, Ezra 3:6 says it happened before the Temple was completed. Could this possibly hint to when burnt offerings will begin again?
There are differences, like Jerusalem not being desolate for the 70 pre-Cyrus years. But still, there are so many similarities. Lance Wallnau wrote a book on this, but it was before Trump won the election and I don't have a copy yet. I'm still researching, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I hope this isn't a duplicate post, but I couldn't find any.

ryny24 I see you joined in September but havent really posted much, in any event welcome to the forum...Personally my focus hasnt been too much on this particular topic so I cant comment much on it but I do find the similarities intriguing. I dont think this is a duplicate post, perhaps check in "Signs on the Earth" for related content. Any other info you come across, please share it.

Hi ryny24. I think you have a great discovery.
All the pieces of the puzzle are in the Bible and it is simply a matter of time until we put it all together.
Have you isolated any dates or do you have any conclusions as to what dates might be applicable to your findings. I for one love dates although my problem seems to be that I never find the right ones. Nevertheless, I am not discouraged. In the past I stopped making my house payment because I was convinced that I had the right date. I have to laugh because I was so wrong. Fortunately I saved my house payment money and caught up the payments when the date passed. The bank did send a few nasty letters however.
So I will not hold you to anything, but if you like to speculate then what is your best guess with the information you have.
Also, do I have your permission to incorporate your findings into my work? Likewise, I hope that if you find anything of mine useful then please use it.
I particularly like my analysis of the Rev. 17:8 riddle that shows the 7th beast of Rev. 17:10 as the Rev. 17:3 beast, and the 8th beast of Rev. 17:11 as the Rev. 13:1 beast. Not that it really matters; however, I like the riddle. I also like the riddle of Rev. 13:18 that shows who the false prophet is and I worked on that for some time and then settled on the idea that 4, 40, and 400 are repetitive numbers in scripture. Thus, I subtracted 400 from 666 to arrive at 266 and interestingly that is the number of Pope Francis. Again, not that it matters, but I do find your work interesting.
Rev. 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev. 17:10 And there are seven a kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Rev. 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of a names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev. 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. Rev. 13: And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the b sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev. 13:18 Here is a wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Of course you can boraddict. We are one team. I will continue to research what else happened in that time to see if it can shed light on today. Unfortunately, they were successful in stopping the building of the temple until King Darius who was 7 years later. Not exactly what we want to hear lol. And it was his during is 2nd year they began to rebuild, so 8 years I guess. I'll keep looking...

Thank you ryny, I think your connection between Trump and Cyrus is right on.
There is a relationship between Isaiah 45:2 and Dan. 2:39-40 which is the gates of brass to the kingdom of brass; and the gates of iron to the kingdom of iron. The kingdom of brass is the third kingdom Greece that presided over Judah, and the kingdom of iron is the fourth kingdom Rome that presided over Judah.
So it appears that the gates of Greece and Rome represent the people or nations who preside over Judah as limiting gates. And why is Cyrus destroying these gates? For Jacob, God's servant, and Israel, God's elect (Isa. 45:4).
Additionally, Cyrus has not known God, and if the truth was known I bet Trump has not known God either. Especially with the million dollar deals and so forth. Not that anything is wrong with million dollar deals, but it is beyond my area of reality. For me a thousand dollar deal is a big deal. Nevertheless, Cyrus is called to do a job for God, and that job is underway with Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capitol city.
Post Script: an additional parallel is that In Cyrus' first year he made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem (Ezra 6:3). Likewise, in Trump's first year he made a decree that the U. S. Embassy is to be built in Jerusalem. If this parallel holds true, then the building of the Embassy represents the building of the temple in the timeline.
That is, although the building of the temple is important, it may be the case that the building of the U. S. Embassy is the timeline marker and not the Temple.

I found a doctoral thesis by Stephen David Anderson in 2014 that expounds upon Darius the Mede. www.academia.edu/9787699/Darius_the_Mede_A_ReappraisalWhen you get to the site just scroll down and the entire thesis is there. It is very good. Perhaps the best part is the summary.

Wow. You weren’t kidding! The last party really is the best part. That has some serious implications for today, and they seem to be already happening. God is amazing!

Randomly, I came across this video from Pastor Jon Courson who also discusses this connection, and I found out a bit more. Apparently, Cyrus said this while he was king of Persia: "Whenever you can, act as a liberator. Freedom, dignity, wealth--these three together constitute the greatest happiness of humanity. If you bequeath all three to your people, their love for you will never die." And, Donald Trump, when he went to Persia (Iran) during the Persian New Year, said this: "“To the Iranian people and all those around the world celebrating Nowruz: On behalf of the American people, I wish you freedom, dignity, and wealth,” Trump said in a statement." But what I found even more interesting, is that it seems Cyrus somehow diverted the Euphrates river, and used that to enter Babylon. Sounds like Revelation 16 to me. It is written in more detail in the Herodotus Book 1, I'll dig into it tonight and try to see if there is more of a timeline connection. (and here)
