In the video I use 2 analogies about the difference between being saved and being born again: 1. conception vs birth 2. crossing Jordan equates to being born again But the webpages I discuss have 2 other analogies which I either did not discuss or briefly mention. The 1st one revolves around the altar the 2 1/2 tribes created. In the church age, those denominations which do not preach the born again experience, often refer to their services as "High" worship, where as the rest of Protestantism services are considered "low" worship. These are their terms not mine. Examples: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WorshipAmong members of the Anglican Communion, private devotional habits vary widely, depending on personal preference and on their affiliation with low-church or high-church parishes.www.trinitylimerock.org/what-to-expect/worship/more-about-worship-at-trinity/High church vs. low church? We lean somewhat toward the high church side — at least for this geographic area, where we’re the highest church around. At our main Holy Eucharist, we have our choir (year-round) and organist, the celebrant frequently chants with sung choral responses, we sometimes ring bells, you can light a votive candle if you wish, but (due to a severe allergy of one of our faithful long-time choristers) we use incense only on rare occasions. Probably we are really in the “Broad Church” category, incorporating elements from both high church and low church worship.High worship revolves around sacramental services and liturgy. These churches also tend to spend money on beautiful stain glass and glorious cathedrals. I believe this completely equates to what the 2 1/2 tribes who did not cross Jordan did with their high altar. And here is what God has to say about this sort of thing: Isa 1: 13: Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14: Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.I believe he hates these kinds of things because it becomes religion instead of relationship. They need to be born again so God can know them! The other analogy is the Tabernacle of Moses, that is the temple furnishings. These have a New Testament correlation to our walk with God. Salvation occurs at the Brazen Altar, but we are born again at the Laver. I spent 4 years at a church that taught fairly heavy on the Tabernacle so I have had a blessed foundation on this. While it is not critical, it can help people understand how to walk with God. I, myself, wrote/created a mod for the computer game Neverwinter Nights, that had a 3D temple with interactive teachings of the furniture of the temple. I no longer have the game installed on my computer and thus no longer support it, but it's still out there. In fact a couple of schools used the game for teaching tools as well, because it was so customizable. Anyways you can read about my project here: www.gospel-kingdom.com/pb/wp_ff87b8a1/wp_ff87b8a1.htmlI believe these 4 analogies help make the doctrine of salvation is different being born again a legitimate teaching, but the scriptures I use make this a reality as well. thanks domagb!
I know myself I have been in many a bible study where the topic of losing your salvation was the main topic and no one said one way or the other, yet most said once saved always saved (which is true by Chrsit's work on the cross for ALL), but that is using the term on its surface to add to what must be done to avoid Hell. I believe there is confusion created by salvation vs. born again when you also have the teachings of eternal torment or that your ticket to hell is a one-way ticket with only one chance to choose the ticket to heaven.. It is the confusion of what Hades and the term walking in a path of destruction that gets lost in translation.
I have not seen one official mainline denomination not add to Walking in Faith. Inevitably there is works added when what should be taught is that as you walk in faith you are drawn closer to God...Peter walking on the water toward Jesus only to lose his footing when he took his eyes off Jesus. (this was taught to me by silentknight, and it was one of those aha moments in my life). The Hope is that God wants to restore it ALL...and there is a process and we are seeing signs of the next phase of His plan..
The barley passages in the scriptures you posted there are significant to me...

I was thinking about the fruitless trees. And the Holy Spirit reminded me there was a scripture about such a thing. This was less than a week ago, but finally got around to looking at it. Luke 13:6 ¶ He also spoke this parable: A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard. And he came and sought fruit on it, and found none. 7 And he said to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down, why does it encumber the ground? 8 And answering, he said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and throw manure. 9 And if it bears fruit, well ; and if not, then after that you shall cut it down. These believers need to have there roots fertilized. They need to build a foundation of their faith. They need the milk of the word. They will be given a short time after the rapture to bear fruit, but soon after all will be forced to take the mark, and any who do will lose their chance at salvation. Sadly most churches today do not give even proper milk to the babes in Christ. The churches birth and birth kids but don't raise them. How many churches teach the foundational principles of Christ. I guess 95% of the church can't even list them! 1: repentance from dead works 2: faith toward God 3: doctrine of baptisms (plural) 4: laying on of hands 5: resurrection of the dead 6: eternal judgment Heb 5: 12: For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13: For every one that uses milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14: But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Heb 6: 1: Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2: Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.Foundational Principles of Christ Part 1www.gospel-kingdom.com/pb/wp_e51f6d34/wp_e51f6d34.html
