Rather than talking too much about far distant future prophetic events and their timing, it might be more beneficial to consider the very next prophetic event coming up.
So do consider explaining your point of view or event from your perspective.
From mine, I would say, if we overlook the easy ones of plague and famine as in Madagascar and Yemen... both man made.. and over look the volcano's erupting worldwide around the Ring of Fire... and diverse major Earthquakes in divers places (Mathew 24)... coming UP shortly... I would suggest the first prophetic EVENT to be the almost World War starting up in the Mid East. Its been along time coming, but seems to now be in full swing, as the Lord allows them to battle it out to almost nuclear pitch before the Prince of the Covenant enters in and develops a COVENANT that satisfies enough security, religious, economic and military advantages and peace and safety advantages that TEN nations sign this COVENANT.... to STOP the War.
The only reason, these TEN nations would ever agree on anything, is if they are forced into it by sheer necessity.. STOP the War before all die... For these ten nations are the ten toes, the ten kingdoms, the ten horns, the ten kings of Revelation, Daniel etc.... This is the SEVENTH world Kingdom.... once they sign. !
Saudi and their new Prince want to team up with Israel and America, and **** to stop Hezbelah in Lebanon, and get ***** for ***********, and they want to stop Iran from helping them and helping Syria and helping Yemen, so Iran will be part of the WAR.
Similarly Russia will enter in as escalation occurs, and maybe even China on the side of their ally Iran and Syria, and Lebanon....
Palestine (Gaza) as per usual will again flair up and be bombed.... as the Palestinian State must be eventually settled... to get them out of their refugee camps.
So the players are aligned.... and the Saudi Prince wants to make a name for himself.... and is preparing his advance as it has been foretold in prophecy IMO, before hand
They just need a false flag to start the shooting and then the escalation can begin using whatever pretense or excuses it takes...as once it starts, beginnings and verifications and truths, matter not... and are meaning less..
Anyway without regards to blaming any nation or all nations, from a prophetic standpoint, this upcoming War will be stopped by the COVENANT signing. I would say next August but whatever once signed (at whatever time) we are off into the End Times and the Last SEVEN YEARS of Daniel 9. Not the Great Tribulation but just the Tribulation period of 7 Years. (The last half being labeled the GREAT Tribulation)

I don't know...reading Ezekiel 38, I don't think the war is stopped. God will destroy the enemies coming against Israel and end the war in order to show His greatness and holiness and make Himself known in the eyes of many nations (38:23)
The trigger might be the destruction of Damascus.

Agreed, but I differ with the verse reference and timing.... But....Yes, the country that calls itself Israel just fired missiles at Damascus, yesterday. The last mercenary war against Syria didnt work and so the battle must continue. The last war, in Syria, turned once the Russians provided the technology and military missiles to stop fly overs etc... so again... Yes others will get involved included more vile nations like Russia, for all nations are as nothing with the Lord...
Damacusus will be a battle ground, or missile target but wont be destroyed completely IMO....
Look for tit for tat, firings on the Golan heights.... until everyone forgets who fired first. For again it will matter not, as long as they get their long awaited war going.... and it has been prophesied and it will be allowed even if the evil ones bring it or fulfill it.

But I am leaning toward the idea the 1st war actually describes either the 1948 conflict and/or the 1967 one. But a 2nd war may be possible. Here is a list of the nations involved in the possible 2nd war. Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrain Syria, Iraq, & Jordan (Iraq is mentioned because it is connected with Syria and was once Assyria, and Jordan is mentioned because Israel will be taking some of it's land). But as things are becoming closer to happening and studying more on this, I believe there are 2 more possible endings to the rest of Islam instead of a 2nd war. 1. They will see the God of Israel in the Ezek 38 war and repent. Or 2. They will join the One World Religion Islam will be destroyed, as the religion of Japan was destroyed when the Japanese empire fell when America dropped the nukes on it. But there more than likely is a precursor to the Ezek 38 war. More than likely, this will be the fulfillment of the destruction of Damascus: Isaiah 17
1 The burden against Damascus: Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a heap of ruins.
This is one prophecy I had not noted or heard about until recent months. But Zachariah chapter 9 proves to be very interesting: Zechariah 9
1 ¶ The burden of the Word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach, and its resting-place, Damascus (when the eye of man, and all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD);
3 And Tyre shall build herself a stronghold, and shall heap up silver like the dust, and gold like the mud of the streets;
4 behold, the Lord will cast her out, and He will strike her wealth in the sea, and she shall be burned up with fire.
5 Ashkelon shall see and fear; Gaza also shall writhe in great pain; and Ekron shall be ashamed for her hope. And the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
9 ¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King comes to you. He is righteous and victorious, meek and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.
13 For I have bent Judah for me as a bow; I filled it with Ephraim, and I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and make you as the sword of a mighty man.

Here we see Damascus, but also Gaza and the Philistines, which is believed to be the Palestinians. They will be involved. Notice that Judah is like a bow, and the Lord will shoot His arrow like a lightning. 16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Thus it is now believed that it is possible that when Damascus gets destroyed, possibly by an Israeli nuke, or by weapons they themselves hid under their hospitals and schools, are set off when Israel hits the city. This will infuriate the enemies of Israel and they will come together to start the prophesied wars. But it appears there may be a miraculous element in this attack with Damascus, as the verses speak of God Himself acting. This coupled with the weapon(s) of mass destruction may be the trigger for the rapture and the working by God with Israel for their last 7 years. Another possible trigger for the rapture would be a nuclear attack on Saudi Arabia by Iran. Some believe this is prophesied in scriptures, others say Saudi Arabia has been noted in scripture after such an event. I am not sure, but it is a possibility. |

The world is right on top of this powder keg and something will give. Either North Korea, Iran, Ukraine, or any of the other numerous hot spots that might work as an igniter for the world conflict to begin.
It does however appear that the debate over Jerusalem as a duel capital will break down as the city's infrastructure having two masters has disaster written all over it. Who will be in charge of what? Thus, Israel will make a stand as to what is reasonable for the growth of the city and the conflict should arise from there. The opposing forces have no intention of allowing Israel to preside over its capital city unencumbered and that should bring things to a head. Israel will put its foot down and draw the line in the sand that Jerusalem as a capitol city will be managed by only one nation, Israel.
Then we should see an intervention by the U.N. with Pope Francis leading an effort of harmony for Jerusalem. That is when it all begins. I mention this because Turkey has taken steps to host the gathering of states supporting Jerusalem as the capital for the Palestinians. Next they must back that position with military power. That is why the U. N. must step in and Francis as the mediator.
Anyway, that is my Ideas on the subject.
