I saw this on the messages responding to the Billy Graham post on the blog, and thought it was worth discussing/investigating, because there seems to be a fair amount of discussion lately, on the structure of Revelation. Posted by Dennis Watson: 1. First section begin Revelation 1, what John saw. 2. Second section being the Church Age, Revelation 2 & 3. 3. Third section being Rev 4-11. Tribulation from perspective of heaven looking down. 4. Fourth section being Rev 12-16. Tribulation from perspective of earth looking up. 5. Fifth section being Rev. 17&18. Destruction of Satan's empire. 6. Sixth section being Rev. 19 & 20. Lords return and reign 7. Seventh section being Rev. 21&22. The future. www.unsealed.org/2017/11/billy-graham-turns-99-and-other-news.htmlWhat do you guys think? I found it intriguing, and worth looking into.

I think I have heard this description before, numbers 3 and 4, but I don't remember if I ever looked into it. I need to dig out my notes. I will try and get to that this weekend.

Thank you Yardstick for showing this structure. I can appreciate the amount of work that went into it. In my experience, the central theme is item number 4 that is the "Tribulation from perspective of earth looking up." Thus, it follows that the chiasmus is:
Revelation 1, what John saw.
Revelation 2 & 3, the Church Age
Rev 4-11, Tribulation from perspective of heaven looking down.
Rev 12-16. Tribulation from perspective of earth looking up.
Rev. 17&18, Destruction of Satan's empire.
Rev. 19 & 20, Lords return and reign
Rev. 21&22, The future.
From the chiasmus, as I understand it, the structure reads: Tribulation from the perspective of earth looking up Tribulation from perspective of heaven looking down and the Destruction of Satan's empire the age of the church and the Lord's return and reign What John saw and the future.
Thus, the central theme is a given and the parallels appear to be correct.
