I thought this video was both tragic and enlightening at the same time. A Jewish man roams around Israel asking Israelis who Jesus is to them and why they don't believe He is the Messiah. You can get a sense that many are open to Jesus and others are very hard-hearted. They each have different reasons, but they are surprisingly pretty weak reasons. I pray that God would give them eyes to see, so that the prophecy can be fulfilled "that all Israel shall be saved". They are looking for a messiah other than Christ and so, for a time, they will get what they want in the form of the antichrist, but then after that the scales will fall from their eyes and they will finally place their faith in Yeshua.

At the end of the video is a link telling where you can send questions for them to ask people on the street in Israel. I sent them a question.

I asked them, something like: "If the Messiah were to come, can you give five identifying characteristics for him from the Tanach, that would allow you to distinguish him from any possible impostors?"

That's a fantastic question. Here's to hoping they'll ask it any post video. I'm guessing, but I bet if they did many Israelis on the street would just be speechless - sadly their basic assumption at this point is that the Messiah is anyone but Jesus.

OK! So it's been a while here. This question they asked is similar to the one I suggested, although I think they asked it before I asked them to.

It is so sad that the Jews do not recognize Jesus as their Messiah but can you imagine the day they do. OH MY! that will be the grand finale of all things, it will be so glorious. Their eyes will be opened, the veil will come off. It brings tears to my eyes, they will be saved. It will be so incredible, I hope I have a front row seat for that one. The one question that I would like to ask them is, "How are your sins being forgiven now?" Thank you for this post.

The one question that I would like to ask them is, "How are your sins being forgiven now?" Thank you for this post. Please NOTE I am not Jewish -- nor am I an expert .....I have a "friend" use that word very lightly -- since we are usually at odds with each other on another blog ..... Any rate -- your question "How are your sins being forgiven now?" Their answer would most likely be " BY DOING Teshuva" Teshuva -- Repentance (Hebrew: תשובה, literally "return", pronounced "tshuva" or "teshuva") is one element of atoning for sin in Judaism. There are many rules and guidelines to this Teshuva as can be seen here -- Rules of Repentance in the Mishneh Torah. In a number of places the Babylonian Talmud emphasizes that performing charitable deeds, praying, and studying Torah are more meritorius than animal sacrifice, and that the former can replace animal sacrifice when the Temple is not active. From what I can understand from our various discussions "BY DOING Teshuva" kind of includes .... performing charitable deeds, praying, and studying Torah ... as well as being sorrowful for the sins, promising not to do again......
