Dolly's Sweet Rice
Ingredients 2 cups water - Bring to boil Add 1 cup white rice (uncooked) Cover and reduce heat and simmer 15 min
Then add: 1 tbsp butter 1 cup milk Simmer to slightly thickened
Then add: 3/4 cup white sugar <---I am editing this as some have said it was too sweet. I asked my sister and she sometimes does 2/3 cups instead. 1 tsp vanilla extract

Connie's Banana Cream Supreme
1 c. vanilla yogurt - do NOT use french vanilla 1/2 c. skim milk 1 pkg. fat free/ sugar free vanilla instant pudding/pie filling 1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip Light, thawed 3 medium bananas, sliced 2 Tbsp. peanuts, grated 1 pre-made graham craker pie crust
In bowl whisk yogurt and milk until blended. Add pudding mix: whisk until pudding is dissolved. Add Cool Whip Light, mixing until well blended. Spread half of filling over crust. Slice bananas; arrange over filling. Spread remaining filling over bananas. Grate peanuts over top.
I have found that it is easier to cut and serve if chilled for about an hour before serving, but isn't necessary.
Even though this is made with a really low fat and sugar content, it tastes very rich!!

Bacon dip
Equal amounts of bacon, sour cream and mayo, real mayo.
Chop crisp bacon powder fine, if you have 1/2 cup add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup mayo, mix, let flavors blend in fridge a couple hours.
You can stretch it by adding more sour cream and mayo if desired.
Serve on toast points, tomatoes, burgers, sandwiches, baked potatoes or anything you like.

Cream sauce.
2 cups heavy cream 2 slices bacon cut fine. I cut each piece into 4 strips lengthwise then cut strips into minced pieces. I use kitchen sheers. 3 to 4 tablespoons minced onions
Meat about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, Chicken, pork tenderloin, beef, your choice.
Season meat and sear in skillet with 1 to 2 tablespoons oil about 2 minutes per side, remove to plate, don't worry meat will finish cooking in sauce.
Add bacon to skillet, cook about 3 minutes, add onions, cook until bacon is crisp and onions are golden. Add cream and reduce to a rolling simmer. Cook until it starts to coat a spoon. Season with pepper and salt, but taste for salt first because bacon can salt it enough. Add meat back to pan and cook until desired doneness.

I ❤ this topic.
My bean recipe:
1 cup onions chopped 1 cup celery chopped Cook down Add 1 lb cooked bacon. 1 tin/ or frozen bag lima beans 2 cans beans in sauce (I like heinz chili style) 1 can white kidney 1 can red kidney Add sauce: -1 tsp garlic power -1 tsp dry mustard 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2- 1 cup vinegar Not too sure on exacts for the sauce, I just mix until is seems to taste right.
Cook on low heat or in oven or slow cooker. Also freezers well.

Is there bacon in heaven or the millennial kingdom? Just wondering if we go back to essentially veganism as Adam and Eve would have not eaten meat in the Garden of Eden. Or would pork be considered an unclean meat again?

My suspicion is that we won't be eating meat in heaven or the new world, as there will be no more death for mankind or the rest of creation. I'm not sure about the millennial kingdom, as the natural bodies of those who survive the tribulation period may have need of it. I know the Bible says the animals will be tamed and will not be eating each other during that time, but on the other hand it does appear there will be animal sacrifices at the Temple. Great question, sawdy! Maybe the Lord will give us a type of meat substitute so we can enjoy our favorite dishes without having to kill anything...?

I use a scale with this recipe for the cabbage but if you don't have one the cabbage is about 1/2 a medium solid cabbage.
Sweet Slaw
21 oz finely shredded cabbage ( I use a processor with the larger grater attachment) 1/2 cup mayo AND 1/2 cup miracle whip (1 cup total) 2 Tablespoons white vinegar 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup minced onions 1/2 teaspoon celery salt 3/4 teaspoon celery seeds 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice or bottled ( if using bottled use the lesser amount)
Mix everything together and put in fridge, stir every half hour for first 1 to 2 hours. It may look dry when you first make it but will pull the juices out in a couple hours and you will have a sweet creamy slaw. Taste pretty close to Kentucky Fried Chicken slaw.

I think you are correct because there was no death before Adam and Eve sinned. God himself made the first sacrifice of an animal and covered Adam and Eve with the skin for clothes.
