So I, as well as most here (I am sure), have been scrutinizing every hypothesis to try to figure out 'what went wrong' and to try to figure out a model that fits with the Sept 23 sign and a harpazo that has not occurred.
Based upon the absence of a harpazo to date; and despite hypothetical models to the contrary, it subsequently occurred to me that the Rev 12:1-2 sign might in itself be a prophecy.
I have come to the conclusion that I should be watching for other things to corroborate the rev 12:1-2 sign under the assumption that the sign itself was not just a 'Go' signal. That is, it may be telling us what will soon come to pass. Not the harpazo (that is verse 5), but what will occur prior to the harpazo, though after 9/23.
So these are the activities I am watching for right now:
1. Israel's travail to parallel Zion's travail. Although we have had some (unresolved, IMHO) discussion on Zion being the one travailing, have we clearly defined who/what Zion is? Is it Jerusalem, specifically? Is it in Heaven? How does a Heavenly Zion travail? Also, I think we have established that there are parallels and multiple fulfillments possible with respect to biblical prophecy. Therefore, might it be possible that we should be looking at Israel to get into some serious geopolitical conflict soon?
2. The two Witnesses. There is at least one hypothesis that suggests that the two Witnesses will be on the scene just before the Trib starts (up to 30 days). If there is merit to this hypothesis, keeping a sharp eye out on the western wall would be beneficial to indicating an 'imminent' harpazo.
3. Confirming a covenant with many. Since the 'confirming' is more specifically defined as 'strong' or 'enforced', watching for the development of the covenant to be established (most likely the 'two-state solution') should give us a good feel for imminency.
4. The red dragon celestial sign. Although there have been many hypotheses regarding this sign, IMHO we have not yet seen anything definitive. If Rev 12:1-5 is chronologically sequential, we should see something definitive with respect to the red dragon sign.
Please feel free to comment or add ideas.
