Hello brothers and sisters, I am coming to you because I have an urgent request for a friend very close to my heart. She entered rehab a little over a week ago and made the impulsive decision to leave. I myself am in recovery and have been begging her months to come back to CA to get treatment.
She came to me last night and I of course did my best to convince her to turn right around and go back. She had thought she had found an alternate sober living community, but that has fallen through. She has a found a sober living with an intensive outpatient program in a different county where she will be heading tomorrow. Obviously she is scared, she feels ashamed of the impulsive decision and is suffering the consequences. But she has stayed sober so far. Although I worry, because she is making a lot of spontaneous decisions at the moment.
She is very scared, but as I just spoke with her on the phone I told her this is the part where she has to hold on and be strong. Please pray that God gives her strength, that he gives her direction, that he gives her peace, and above all that he reveals himself to her. And of course that she stays sober.

Read this at work earlier today and lifted your friend up at that time. Asking the Father to perfect His strength in her weakness, to exchange His peace for her worries, to show Himself strong on her behalf as the Deliverer from her addiction. If she does not know Him, may this time be used by the Lord to draw her heart unto Him and to give her spiritual eyes to see truth. Also praying that God will give you wisdom and peace to discern what part of this burden for your friend is yours to bear and which part you are to release unto the Lord so that you are not carrying something in the flesh that He would not have for you to. It is always a temptation when we love someone and see them with a need to know where to draw the Christ-minded line in terms of what portion of the burden we are to bear. Grace and peace to you and your friend.

Lifting her up in prayer. God can deliver us from all our brokenness. Also praying that the Lord will surround her with servants who will show her the love of Christ and that she shall find that peace that surpasses all understanding.
