In every one of us there is something deep within that changes and molds us. There is a divine and overwhelming voice that never ceases. This voice teaches us the define line of morality. Our creator uses this interaction to guide us daily. We have all been gifted by the indwelling of God's Spirit. He has done this so that we may know his will.
This guiding hand is what grants us the ability to change who we are. It grants us the privilege to experience the awesome power of the Almighty. The Holy Spirit is the one that pushes us closer to God. It helps us to recognize our great need for him.
The Holy Spirit is the driving force behind our salvation. Without its guidance, a wretch like me couldn’t be saved. There would be no hope for humanity, but thanks to God’s providence that hope is alive today.
Each one of our stories of how we got saved is different. However, even though our stories are unique there is always one part of those stories that is always the same. It is that push from within, at least that is how I can describe it. There is always some sort of pressure that is so unexplainable that ends up leading us to our knees.
It has become clear to me that God uses our inner turmoil to lead us to Him. Those nagging doubts and insecurities that we all have our what usually leads us to Him. This is made possible by the Spirit’s constant pressure. This pressure that everyone faces is the effects of a major battle. Our inner most soul cry’s out to God without us realizing it. The Holy Spirit reacts to that call. Our soul and the Holy Spirit react to one another like a magnet to a piece of metal.
There is something that Paul said that has helped me to understand this. In Romans 8:39 it says, “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I believe this verse to ring true. There will never be anything that can separate us from the love of God, because we have the love of God inside us. God gifted us with his own spirit so that we may never be separated from him. We will always know that God loves us, because we all will feel his presence inside of us. It doesn’t matter if you believe in God or not, his Spirit still lives in us all.
This gift has been given to the entire world and there is nothing that we can do to lose it while we live. In every moment of every day we will get to feel that love that our Father has for us.
This understanding has helped me to grow closer with God. It has allowed me to have an awareness of the Spirit in my life. There have been times when I felt lost and I didn’t know which way to turn. In those moments God allowed the Spirit to guide me. Those little whispers and thoughts have been a huge help in understanding what to do in difficult situations.
